  9. Thanks Mark, your article captured me and just put you in a David Cassidy thought of one of the world’s greatest entertainers, with a singing career and tours behind him, that may be, but his singing and acting is always present in ones mind. DAVID CASSIDY, worked so hard in his career, and his multi talent ,all I can say is wow, us fans are so lucky and blessed to have gotten David in our lives and we all got to share in this superstar , and enjoy and love what he brought to our lives. It’s time not to be shy saying it, I love you David Cassidy, more so now, you just proved over and over what a star is,it’s you bright and unbelievable, that you have a love for us fans that we have for you. It’s a lifetime bond. Denice in Cleveland.

  11. A very well written article so moving so alive in the moment. To David cassiday the artist if you were sitting here with me now you have brought so much emotion and passion out of so many with your gift of voice the power of feeling you bring to each song a true artist. You are to be admired. To David cassiday the man of flesh and blood I say reflect on good times passed and good times still to come if I could I would hold you to me and tell you there are true good people in this world still. I’m sure you will know the song Hello again sang by Neil diamond. Hello again Hello. I send those words to you darling boy. You were thirteen when I was born so where was I in the summer of 72 ? I was nine years old that is where I was ? Time goes by too quickly does it not so you my lad focus on songs my father taught me and stay true to who you are at your core. You have a lot of life still in you and a lot of life still to live . Life love happiness all you have to do David is just reach out. God bless and Happy Trails. Madeleine from Scotland X x x

  12. It’s such a shame that we have had to wait almost until the end of David’s career to read such an honest, lovely, down to earth report of what could very well be David’s last concerts. It was an absolute joy to read about the behind the scenes events and the interactions with his band members. We always knew that David loved his fellow musicians, but to have it confirmed in this ‘fly on the wall’ report is somehow comforting, knowing that Frank, Craig, Teri, Dave P and even Filipe continue to care for him. I am sure they will remain friends with both David and us in the future. David can rest in the knowledge that he went out with his head held high, and his fans wanting more, just like those first concerts all those years ago.

I for one hope that David is getting all the rest and recuperation he needs to manage his condition. It was refreshing to hear that he has recently been back in the recording studio with is band pals laying down the tracks for his dream album. I await its release with excitement. We all know his voice is very much changed and will never be as it was in the 70’s but who cares? David is making this album for us, his fans, this is his way of thanking us and I will cherish it forever.

David, I wish you many, many more happy, healthy years living just the way you want. It will be lovely to hear from you every now and then, because I can’t imagine my life without you featuring in it. Being lucky enough to see you perform here in London so many times and to actually meet you twice will always be the best experiences of my life. Wishing you good health, happiness and love for the future my friend, may God bless you and look after you.

Much love as always and forever
    Rosa xx

  13. What a wonderful article!! I felt like I was right there with you. I was fortunate to have seen you three times…in the ’70s at the Astrodome, in the ’90s when you came to Beaumont, TX (where I met you… You were so very sweet), and in 2013 in Houston at the Arena. I wish I had been able to see you one more time but I cherish the times I did. I look forward to your new recording. God bless you today and always! Much love…

  14. what a great article! i missed out on going to either of the last shows, but this article kind of took me there! love to hear how and what David is doing, and what he thinks, says, and, yes, even likes to eat. LOL sure wish the fans with the lights had turned the lights off, though! David, i hope the eye surgeries are helping you, and i hope you get well, regarding the laryngitis. i’m also happy to read that you want to do another show every once in a while, and keep playing your music and singing. even if you only did it for yourself – whatever makes you happy, thats what i want for you. (i hope you still have fun with the horses and racing too – i know you love it so!) take care, David, and know that we all love you. i pray for you, and send you good wishes, and love always. kellie in md

  15. Dear David

What a wonderful article describing your last concerts, I very much enjoyed reading it. I saw you once in concert, Sydney 1974, and wish I could have seen you for at least a second time. For those of you who’ve met David, you have been very privileged. This would have been a most treasured moment in my life if I’d also had this opportunity. I feel very privileged to have lived in the time of David Cassidy and so proud for so long to be your fan. Your talent is infinite and you are such a wonderful person, the type of person I would have loved to have known. I hope your eye surgery went well and that your eyes are now feeling OK, and that you’re otherwise feeling well. Your touring career has ended, but know how much pleasure your concerts have given to your fans over more than 45 years. My life, especially my teenage years, would have been different without you and I thank you for all you’ve given. I know how hard you’ve worked for so long. Now is your time to rest and enjoy your life, knowing how grateful your fans are. My love for you will always be there, I love you very much.

    From Sandra

  24. Wow, what an article! Bravo to David and the author! Thank you so much! It reminded me of the 3 times I saw you in concert David and the first time I met you personally backstage after a concert in upstate NY in March 2002. You were so kind to me and to my sister & brother. We drove 7 hours through snow & ice to see you. I will never forget it! Thanks for the memories! I was hooked when I saw you on those ABC commercials promoting “The Partridge Family” in September 1970. Been a fan ever since!

    LOVE YOU,

  31. Hi David,
First, I want to apologize for getting upset at you in regard to your alcoholism many many months ago. I am so sorry. I had too much expectations of you. We are all humans. Nobody is perfect and when you love someone, caring is the most important thing. I hope you forgive me. It touched a chord in me.
I had this dream of you last night. I rarely dreamed about you. I saw you on a stage with people around. Than I left and turned around and you were there. You made me sing with you, holding my hand and than you gave me a hug and a kiss (a friendly one). I was on cloud nine!
My heart hurts knowing you will never tour again but I get it. You gave your whole life to us. Time for another chapter but I will always love you. I was at your concert in Vancouver a few years ago (a gift from one of my son) but you were sick so I never got the chance to go near the stage. I had your record ‘Cherish’ (I got it as a teenager) and wanted to ask you to autograph it and meet you just once in my life. I had that wish since I was a teenager. I am now 59.
I also saw you in Montreal when I was about 14. I don’t remember the exact year (around 1973). Crazy time! 😉
Thank you for making me happy when I was young (you were my escape). Thank you for your music and your wonderful voice.
As you said ‘I don’t think I love you, I know I do’. My whole life.
    Jocelyne

  32. David,

I’m sending you lots of warm hugs over the internet. I hope you are still having a lot fun making the album and being with your friends. XOXOX

  33. Hi David, my husband is a Beatles fan since a young child, and in his option nobody has ever done cover versions of their songs and done them justice the way you have, take great pride in that because they are such an unique act to follow, he,s a little jealous because I seen them perform in Glasgow as a very young child due to my beautiful cousin taking me with here when they performed in my home town.Hope this finds you in good health take care lots of love and hugs Yvonne from Scotland x.

you a letter. Hi Margaret ! How are you doing?
Have not seen any post from you for awhile.
    Sincerely, Felicia from Westfield, Massachusetts

    • Hi Felicia.

It’s been six long days, but I try not to hog this site! Lol! Thanks for asking. Well, I have been writing for one of those writing mills, writing a book a week for just a penny per word (which yields very little money for the time I put in). Still, I’m grateful for the work. I’ll do that gig a while longer and take things to the next level. I’m just catching up the bills for now. It’s a good thing I am set up to be able to live on so very little money. Take care.

  41. Dear David,
I really enjoyed reading this article. I would have loved to have been at this concert.
I’m lucky to have seen you countless times in concert and to have met you twice, which was a dream come true for me.
I’m glad that you are doing ok and have been recording.

I had stomach surgery at the end of May this year, which has been successful.
It’s taking a lot of time to get better. I’m gaining strength every day. Eating is taking longer, to be truthful, I’m not very hungry but managing to eat small amounets. My appetite will improve over the coming months.
I have been enjoying some sunny days outside. I listen to your albums on my iPod. All your songs really lift me up especially on days when I’m feeling a bit sorry for myself.

Thank you for the music and for being a huge part of my life for 45 years, and for being you.
    Kindest regards,
    Crystal McRoberts, Ayrshire, Scotland.

  42. Dear David,

Miss you…hope you send some recent photos of yourself and let us know your doing fine, ok. So here’s a longggg smooch coming your way from the state of Michigan baby!

    Love you, Christine

    • The British girls I chat with on one Facebook DC closed group apparently call that “snogging,” if I found the correct definition online! Just for laughs… I think they are pretty funny girls, three or four of them are anyway. Those old photos are just plastered all over FB daily. David’s got “it” and always has!

  43. Okay, well, it’s only been three days since I commented on here, but…

    David,

We miss hearing from you. How are things going with the record, your life, etc.?

    Margaret – East Texas

  44. Just stopping by to say
    Love you too, David
    Take care
    &
God bless you sweetheart <333 †

  45. David, I don’t know what to say, except I miss you also. As your fan, I want all good things for you. Keep yourself busy and happy at the same time, if that makes sense, and rest and have fun. And if things are going good for you, that is a blessing ,and you are truly loved by all. Hi Felicia, thanks for the post, it is so uplifting, to know David Cassidy has a website. We all can say how we feel and be ourselves and David’s messages just bring a world of happiness to us fans. Friendships are made here, and I just love everyone’s posts about David. The term snogging is adorable….and somewhere I heard the term before,..So I say Ladies start your engines grab hold of David and snog away….its good for you it releases endorphins and I’m in the medical profession. My prescription for good health is one snog in the morning followed by two snogs before bedtime…fix you right up David , you will be a new man in no time.

    Summer Days by Tony Romeo

  53. very nice to read on your faceboook page, you are having a good summer and feeling well, so looking forward to your new recordings, you were my heartthrob in the 1970s, and have loved your music from then, and being online does help to keep in touch with my favourite idol, i will treat myself to one of your new songs for my up coming 59th birthday, so good the 70s in our heyday, i still am professional in my field, but i am now retired, and i am sure you, the same as me look back with a smile.

  54. Thanks Margaret, that song and title with David’s voice made that song a highlight for our summers back than. We all had our own summer days going on , so David summer days are back with thoughts of you and those days, and I know one of these summer days now, we will hear from you , take good care of yourself, summer days will always be here with you David.

  58. My own Sweetheart,

Methinketh it long since we last heard from Thee. Wherefore art Thou? I can scant come thither, so I trust it shortly to hear herein from Thee. I beseech Thee.

Written with the hand of her which will eternally be yours,
    Lady Margaret

(Ha ha…I have no clue how accurate that is to being Old English!)

  59. David, you are so loved, and missed, and you know that saying if they are talking about you, that’s all good. It’s when the talking stops, but in your case, we will always be talking to you and about you, because WE LOVE YOU, SO MUCH. David I’ll be patient to hear from you, cause I know you will never forget us fans, and this is your summer. Ya David I’m the pest from Cleveland, I say Cleveland but it’s there. Hi FELICIA, hope you are having nice weather and good summer days. I been busy, but love everyone on the website, I sent few letters to you, so so so glad we became friends, with David Cassidy beening this mentor I looked up to, and followed his career, I’m so so so glad I made the choice over forty years ago to be his fan. With that said Felicia, we have more friendship times coming up. David stay safe and well, enjoy everyday life, that’s all we all can do. Summer not over,so let’s enjoy, and we know David is going good.

  60. Margaret, thanks for the video clip, of David singing tommorow, so enjoyable , the voice and his style that goes with his voice, David Cassidy is such a joy to watch as my favorite performer of all time.

    • You’re quite welcome, Denice. I listen to David’s voice every day, and I agree that he also had style that went with his voice.” I call it stage presence. Of course, he was quite “hot” too!

We had the “British invasion” when the Beatles and other British groups came over here. From the videos I’ve seen, David appears to have been a one-man American invader of the UK!

      Have a good one.

  61. Dear David,

Lots of love from a younger fan who admires you, and thinks your a sweet , sexy guy. Please stay in touch we miss you!!!!

    Love you, Christine xoxoxoxo

  62. Great article, thank you very much.

    David,we really miss you!Take care,thinking of you.

    Lots of love from Angela

  63. Dear David,
I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the many years you’ve brought me joy with your awesome music. At 15, I had your face plastered all over my bedroom wall. I’m 53 now and I’m still being impacted by your songs. So as you enter your retirement, don’t think for one second that you never achieved rock n roll fame bc you did not only through your music but also thru your acting. What you think you hate about your roots are for others, blooms at the other end of those roots that will forever be blooming when we call to memory that wonderful era. There’s not been another one since. The 70’s and 80’s were a unique time period, an awesome time to be alive and producing music like the kind you did. So thank you ? and be blessed! Your a very talented artist and deeply loved by millions. Your a piece of my childhood that I carry with me daily. Godspeed ☺️?

  64. Dear David,
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful article with us,it was so well written and I felt like many others that I was there.

I am so glad that now that you can relax properly and put yourself first
and not have to worry about how you are going to feel on the day you perform, unless you feel that you really want to at anytime in the future. You will always have a place in my heart forever. AngelaCornwall uk. Xxxx

  67. An exceptional article!!!
I am just one more of millions who have felt strongly a love that is, in fact, hard to explain but deeply understood by others like me here who tell David of their feelings.
We are more than fans. David, we are your friends and friendships last a life time. We care deeply about you and your well being.
I have never met you and cannot go there to see you so I decided to invite you to come visit me here in the middle of the Atlantic, in São Miguel Azores. You will enjoy the freshness of the island and the “get away” you could enjoy here.
Wish you well and that you were here

    • Ana,

You hit the nail on the head. We share a deep love for a person we’ve never met and almost assuredly never will. He has touched our hearts from an early age onward, and some of us at quite young ages (like I was when PF aired and those songs were recorded). He may or may not still be concerned that “fans” don’t actually know him personally, but it is this group who loves him unconditionally. We are the unseen, unknown people who think about him and pray for him often.

      • Margaret

Thank you for your comment. Yes, I agree with you. David has had the ability to make us, his unknown fans feel like friends not only toward him but also towards each other. If there were more of this type of feeling around the world would be a better place.
        God bless

  68. David, I just came back from a long, long absence and I am so happy you are back in life! You have to know that you came into my life when I needed you most. Every time I listen to your exquisite voice I’m transported to heaven. I am so happy. Please, please David take care of yourself. I only wish you joy, health, peace and happiness. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are loved David. Remember that! I know I love you too! A big kiss for you.

  71. Quoting David ‘IN MY LIFE, I’VE LOVED YOU ALL’. David, in my life, we have ALL loved you. I LOVED YOU. I am loyal. I still love you. I was 13 when I first saw your face on Tiger Beat, shown to me by a classmate. My heart melted. I was instantly in love. You had it all – talent, good looks, charisma. The same great qualities that your father had. Unfortunately, great success wasn’t enough and you turned to the drink. You can’t find happiness in a bottle of booze. I hope you get well and never touch the stuff again. Realize that you are still loved by probably pretty near the great majority of women in North America. I know, distant love doesn’t mean much when you have to live your life. Get well and I hope you find your happiness. If this is your time to meet your maker, come back and share your love with us all over again. You made the world a better place, at least those of us in Canada and the U.S. You made my teenage years better. We grew with you – the girls my age. Most of us were in love with you but, I am loyal to the end. I’m not sure they all are. I still enjoy listening to your songs and remembering my heartthrob – You. Those days were happier days with you in them.

  72. I am praying for peace for you and comfort from the pain. May God grant you grace which He gives so freely. Thanks for all you gave through the years. You were such a part of my teen years. Your pictures are still on my wall, only now they are photos I took when you were here in Pennsylvania. Love you.

  73. I am so sad 🙁 🙁 🙁 to learn that you are so sick David, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I am glad you are surrounded by your family and friends. Take care… I love you forever David..
I am sure all your fans are concern by what it happen to you actually…

  74. I was lucky to have a chance to meet you and to have lunch with you David I will never forget it even though it was a very bad day at hair day for me and of course I was quite overweight Iwas having a dream about you after praying for days and it was so surreal I do not know if it’s you or I that will be OK. Or both of us I woke I was in a state that was not sleep but not quite awake and you again we’re on the right side with your arm around me just like lunch
and one of us said you will be OK I’m going to have a cuppa coffee and wake up I have no idea what is happening and I am praying that you are OK I posted our Picture on my Facebook page and I really don’t have anything to say to anybody People have questions let them talk But I will continue praying God bless My prayers will not stop for you and your family David
    Love you ,
    Karen
