Hi David,
I wonder if you are actually ever going to have the chance to read this?!?! I guess I will hope for the best and take my chances.
My name is Laura and I am 30 years old from NYC. Obviously I wasn't around when Partridge mania took the world by storm. Up until
about 1997 the only knowledge I had of you was from a few reruns of the Partridge Family that I had seen when I was a child. Some years
ago I heard that you were doing a show in CT, so out of curiosity, I bought myself a ticket. I really didn't know what to expect. I
didn't know if I was going to leave your show feeling satisfied, disappointed, or indifferent. I didn't even know if I was going to be
interested enough to stay for the whole show. I really knew nothing about you at all. I am so glad that I decided to attend that night.
You had me smiling ear to ear from the moment you walked on stage. I was really impressed, and believe me, I am not an easy one to
impress. You know how New Yorker's are, we either love ya or hate ya.
I am writing to you on behalf of your fans who are under 35 years old. I feel as though we have been cheated in a way (not by you, just
in general). Although we are so fortunate to be able to see you now, we have no real connection to the time when your career first
started. We hear a lot of talk about the places you played and the tours you did, but we don't have access to them. All we have from the
70's are pictures of you, retro magazines and 2 seasons of Keith. Keith was great, I really like the guy, but I would love to see your
other work from back in the day. I would like to see David being David. Is there any chance that you would consider releasing a DVD of a
concert you did back in the 70's? Or clips of different 70's concerts? It would be amazing to see what your concerts were like and how
you performed back then.
