I finally have a moment to write about my experience at the Greek!! I've been savoring the memories all week, but now I'm ready to share with you all, especially since Janie has shared too, and I know some of you might be anxious to hear--LOL. I'll try not to duplicate Janie's story too much, OK?

I picked Janie up on Friday night, (not Thursday night....Janie you've lost track of time you GOOF--LOL) the first of my 4 trips in 4 days to the airport--OY. LOL We had a great time laughing and getting re-acquainted--I hadn't seen her since January, it was great!

On Saturday morning, while we were waiting for Mr Fedex, I went online to check ticket availability, just in case. Imagine my surprise when it popped up with a 2nd row pit ticket for sale!! I bought it of course, although it meant eating the row L ticket I had already--who cares? I got in the pit!!

And the afternoon before, on Friday, I finally got the notification that I had won a meet/greet!! (they went out really late...lots of people found out at he last minute it seems) YIIPEEE!! I called Janie immediately of course and caught her before she left, to tell her she could be my guest since you get 2 passes...little did I know she was going to win one too! I was so nervous, what would I say? What would I wear? Such a dilemma!! LOLOL

Fast forward to later at the hotel after we picked up the gals. Poor Judi was recovering from being catified (sorry Judi) and we were hurrying to get dressed and be beautiful, and I open my bag, and what ho?? Where are my boots? ARRRGGGGG, in my rush to get out of the house, I had packed everything but. ---I had a lovely skirt and nice top, but no shoes except the sneakers I already had on. ---NOOOOOOO-I'm meeting David and I HAVE NO SHOES--we were too far from home for me to go back, so I went in search of a hoe store. No luck...nothing in the near vicinity of the hotel....DAMN!!

Well, Judi came to the rescu with an adorable pair of strappy flat sandals (Thank you Judi). So what if they are a 7--or was it 8? And I wear a 5 -- LOL -- they didn't look too bad, and they actually stayed on when I walked. OK--crisis averted. whew!

We got to the theatre and I went and found my seat, soooo close to the stage, on the right side. YAY -- I saw MacKenzie in the "lobby" where everyone was chatting away, ....and it turned out she and her friend were sitting right next to me!! (HI Mac)!! Janie, Judi and Leigh were sitting near me, so I could wave to them...and the concert was fabulous as you've already heard! Yes, the jeans are waaay better than the pleated pants, and he was as wonderful as everyone has said! He was having a great time up there!

OK---the show was over, and this was it---OMG, I suddenly became very quiet and nervous. Jeez, I was finally going to meet him! The room was small, and we spent the whole time in line just looking at him, watching him with everyone and getting closer and closer....Janie made me go first!! I didn't want to--LOL But suddenly there I was, and he was taking my hand and asking my name. He spoke very softly, and kindly, and he was soooooo beautiful. His hands were very warm...a good warm, not sweaty. They were just like warm towels just out of the dryer. Very comforting. SIGH.

I said something stupid about trying all day to think of something to say to him, but couldn't....and he said, "You don't have to say anything, just stand there and look pretty." OMG! David just told me I was pretty---he turned me toward the camera and put his arm around me, and I have no recollection of this at all, but the girls say he put his other arm around me and touched my elbow, like in an embrace. I suppose I'll find out when I get the pic back!! (um... are those developed yet?)

Then it was over, and we were ushered out and I don't remember what exactly he said as he was leaving, but he did say goodnight and thanked us...I think --

Well, that's it, of course we didn't sleep hardly at all that night. We went back to our hotel and sat up eating potato chips and cookies and gabbing. The next day we took Leigh and Judi back to the airport, and Janie and I went back to my house. On Monday morning I took Janie back to the airport, and it was over....SNIFF.....but it's OK--we'll see each other soon, since I'm going to Chicago!!

It was a wonderful weekend...that's for sure. I'll never, ever forget it.

Love and miss you girls!!
