On Saturday we spent the entire day at the beach. It was such a beautiful place and nice weather. The heat wave that struck California didn't seem to affect Oregon because it was about 85 degrees and just perfect. Around noon, Beth and I headed over to the casino to eat at the buffet. The David Cassidy posters were gone! Bummer, we wanted to take pictures of them. We decided to ask at Guest Services if there were any extras. I got one!!! What a miracle!!! I decided to take a picture of their wall display, which was a light-up display with all the shows for the month. Right after I snapped a picture, a security guard came and said he needed to take my camera, because NO PICTURES IN THE CASINO! I said "oh I think you just want to give your wife a picture of David Cassidy." And then I said "I only took a picture of the wall!" so he laughed and let me keep my camera. Whew!

Beth and I had a very nice relaxing day and about 7:30 headed to the casino for the next show. Beth was unfortunately stuck in section D this time, so again no chance to get near David, but I had 3rd row, so I was quite excited.

I forgot to mention that Nancy from New Jersey was there. I don't think she's a member of our chat list but I think she will be soon! (Yes I am doing my recruiting for Davidforever). People who have been to Mohegan may remember her. We had fun chatting with Nancy on Friday night (we sat in the deli at the casino until 2:30 just chatting and laughing!). On Saturday night I again saw Nancy in the 2 nd row, but even better, when David needed a cell phone for Echo Valley, she ran to the stage and he used hers. Then, later in the show, David threw his towel into the audience. Janie caught it but gave it to Nancy. That was so nice of Janie. So after the show we were all sniffing the towel LOL, and it sure smelled lovely.

On Friday, the crowd had been a little out of hand when it came to crowding the stage. At one point a girl tried to pull David's towel out of his hand, and he hung on, but she kept pulling. She just would not let go, but neither would David! He was determined to keep it! He kept saying "no, no, you can't have that" but she kept pulling. It looked like a little tug of war but David won. So on Saturday night, they had a chair right in the very front middle, and a security lady sat there the entire time, to make people sit down. She was pretty nice about it though, if someone came up with a camera, she let them snap a picture (and even got out of the way for pictures) and then made them go back to their seat. There were not people standing at the stage this time. Partly because the entire front row was old gray haired people! They all sat there like bumps on logs but David still held his hand out to shake theirs and if they stood up he kissed them. Well I was in the 3rd row, 2nd seat. So just one girl between me and the aisle. I decided to wait until David looked my way, and then I'd get his attention. As he glanced my way, I stood up and waved at him. He pointed at me, and then I held up my JUST DAVID newsletter. He motioned for me to come up! I didn't hesitate, I scurried up there. The security lady let me. I handed my newsletter to David, and he said "Ohhhh.." as he glanced at it, then I said "That's me" and I pointed to the back, where my Meet & Greet pic had been printed. He said "Hey that's me and you!" and he took my Sharpie and signed it. Then he handed it back and bent down to me and I kissed his cheek, REALLY CLOSE to his mouth, HA! I should have just "accidentally" moved a tad to the left!! Anyway it was all very wonderful, and me and David were the only ones at the stage and in the spotlight. I desperately hope someone got a picture!!!

Later on, Joyce brought the lei up to the stage and David came over to her. She got the headbutt of love and also a kiss on the cheek! Then he sniffed the lei, said "AHHHHHH" and wore it the entire song. He doesn't usually wear it very long but this time he did. He made his usual "got laid on stage" joke and then an Elvis impersonation (gee he's so original LOL).

This time we got CRY as an encore, yahoo!!!! After the show, there was a big line of people forming to the right of the theatre. We didn't know why. A security guy walked by and said "David is doing limited autographs." We couldn't believe it, but got in line just in case. About 20 people were let backstage, and we saw them come out, one by one. After that, they didn't let anyone else in, and there were probably over 100 people waiting. But he did SOME, that's another change in David!!

These changes in David are SO for the better! I am really liking how he's becoming friendlier with his fans. There were so many happy women after the show. Some girls asked me if they could take my picture and I didn't even know them! They said they wanted a picture of "David's biggest fan"!!!! If anyone knows Dana and Jody from Oregon, tell them hi!!

David was wearing the "other" white shirt this time. The one that is more of a dress shirt, more fitted. It was still not tucked in but he looked very nice. His hair was kind of "floppy" on the front part, it looked so cute!

Oh, here's another strange occurrence from Friday that I just remembered (where do these weirdos come from???)..some girl came to the side of the stage and yelled out that she had nice legs. David was responding to everybody that yelled out, so he stopped and asked her what she had said. She repeated that she had nice legs, then threw her leg up on the stage, pulled up her pants leg, and said "I even shaved, see?" and she rubbed her leg seductively. David came over to her, held her leg, and rubbed it. He was looking at the audience with a strange look, like "whatever!" and after rubbing her leg, she then wanted him to autograph her shirt. He said he would sign it "on the shoulder" but his name was a little too long. He somewhat hesitated, and then said "this is no longer your SHOULDER" as his last name was heading, um, lower! He told her to pull her shirt tight because the pen was messing up. She scrunched it up like he had said to make it looser. He said "no, I mean, pull it tight. Over the bump." To that she got all sexy-eyed, and was looking like she was going to just grab David, and then she said "I have a Victoria's Secret bra on" and David said "what does that mean, that it's padded?" She looked a little offended over that, but she did get her autograph, plus David rubbed her leg!
