Scores of Fans From All Over The World Are Scrambling for Tickets
To See David Cassidy Perform at Queensborough Community College
August 19th, 2009
Fall Concert Will Mark Pop-Star’s Premiere Appearance
in Queens, New York. Teary fans from throughout the United States,
Europe and
Canada are frantically requesting front row seats, backstage
passes and even
special permission to “touch” actor, singer, songwriter,
and guitarist David Cassidy, who will perform at Queensborough
Community College on Saturday, November 21, 2009
at 8:00PM.
Although he first appeared
on the scene nearly forty years ago as Keith Partridge of The Partridge
Family, he has remained one of the worlds’ most
sought after and highest paid live performers.
“While all
of our shows generate a lot of enthusiasm, this intense level of excitement
among fans is unprecedented,” says Susan Agin,
Artistic Director of the Queensborough
Performing Arts Center (QPAC). “It
is quite a tribute to us that a pop-icon such as Mr. Cassidy will appear
at Queensborough.”
In fact, Cassidymania has
reached such a fever pitch at QPAC that David Cassidy recently posted
a message on his official website, (* see right column) imploring
fans to not be “overly persistent with venues”.
The superstar, along with his rock band, will perform the all-time favorites
I Can Feel Your Heartbeat, Come On Get Happy, I’ll Meet You Halfway,
Point Me in the Direction of Albuquerque and more. For more information
about this event, call the QPAC Box Office at 718-631-6311;
tickets are available online at www.visitqpac.org.

Thank
You For Your Support
* I genuinely want to thank
you for your recent show of support that
I’ve received by way of e-mails and letters from fans and friends all
around the world for both the new TV show, “Ruby & The Rockits”
which is truly a family affair, and for my concerts. It’s been great
seeing
many of you at the tapings and at shows around the country.
Your loyalty and support have
enabled me to live out my dreams and
fulfill others I never even knew I had! I know how incredibly special you all
are and just how lucky I am to have such a loyal and devoted following who
have hung in there with me and made time for me in your busy lives.
Unfortunately,
I’ve recently been made aware of some well-intentioned
fans who may be hurting the opportunities I try to avail to all of you.
Venues have been contacting my representatives saying that some fans
are being unreasonable about their demands for preferred seating. The folks
at the various concert halls and events do the best that they can to satisfy
everyone but there are only a limited number of seats in the first couple of
rows at any venue. It must simply be on a first come, first served basis and
I implore you not to be overly aggressive, impolite or too persistent. There
is
simply nothing anyone can do. This type of behavior reflects badly on me and
can affect whether a venue wants to book me again in the future. I try to play
to the entire audience, not just those in the front row(s), so please cooperate
and be respectful of the venues and their staffs as well as the other fans
who
also want to attend my shows. Thank you so very much! I look forward to
looking out in the audience and seeing you there.
