David & Kay Lenz attended the "special dinner salute" honoring Mike Curb, then-head of Warner/Curb Records, as a rising figure in the Republican party. It was sponsored by friends of Curb, who at the time was an "as-yet-undeclared candidate" for Lieutenant Governor of California.
The evening raised $225,000 for Curb’s 1978 campaign for Lieutenant Governor of California.
Shaun Cassidy also attended the event.
