The David Cassidy Memorial Plaque - Stage door Phoenix Theatre

David was honoured with a Memorial plaque from his UK fans on 21st September 2018 for his performance in Blood Brothers in 1996 at the Phoenix Theatre,London. The plaque was funded and erected by UK fans and is over the stage door.

The plaque was unveiled by Uk DJ, writer and presenter Mike Read, who regaled fans with his personal stories about David.

David Cassidy - Phoenix Garden

As part of Davids UK legacy the David Cassidy UK Legacy and Tribute Group on Facebook have also installed a plaque within the Phoenix Garden which is opposite the Phoenix Theatre, London. The garden which is run by volunteers provides a location to enjoy natural surroundings in a busy West End London area whilst visiting the Phoenix Theatre Plaque.

INSCRIPTION: "Dreams, Wishes and Happy Trails"
The plaque with the words “Dreams, Wishes and Happy Trails “ are symbolic words to Davids many fans and is commemorated by a Just Giving Page for the Wishes Foundation UK , which helps enables seriously ill children to have their wishes and dreams become a reality.

David Cassidy - Phoenix Garden #2

INSCRIPTION David. Tell Me It's Not True. The Cassidy Rose

"Tell Me It's Not True" is a song sung at the end of "Blood Brothers", a musical theatre production which had a 24-year run in the West End. Created in 1981 by Willy Russell. It was at the nearby Phoenix Theatre for 21 years and its final performance was there in 2012. David Cassidy played Mickey in the production, on Broadway and at the Phoenix, 1995-6. The Cassidy Rose is a Facebook page for David Cassidy fans.

The Cassidy Rose had donated two Roses a yellow Memorial rose “ ITILY “ and a red remembrance rose named “ King of Hearts” specifically named for David with blue forget me nots flowers to be planted in the Phoenix Garden to provide a Living Memory to David as well as paying for and erecting the plaque on the gardens wishing wall as a further tribute.

This 'wishing wall' is best found by entering the garden from St Giles Passage. Follow the path to the right and you will find the wall on your right.
Phoenix Gardens was created by local residents on a car park, a former bomb site and opened in 1984. It is still maintained by volunteers.

Purchased by the David Cassidy Legacy Great Britain Group to commemorate David's performances there in 1985 and 2002.

Heathrow Airport Plaque

David Cassidy was remembered for his visits and performance on the tarmac at Heathrow Airport 1973 with a plaque in the Queens departures lounge as part of Heathrow’s 70years celebrations.

Hammersmith Park Plaque

A plaque has been placed on a bench at London's Hammersmith Park. A £300 donation to The British Thoroughbred Retraining Centre in honour of David’s love of Race Horses was also raised by fans.

Hammersmith Park - Japanese Garden Rose

On May 31, 2021 The David Cassidy Group of Great Britain had a Rose planted in the Japanese Garden of Hammersmith Park.

The choice of Rose was the Captain Tom Rose, Captain Tom came to worldwide fame during the pandemic, walking his garden to raise money for the NHS, this was all about coming together, community and making a small difference, with his saying Tomorrow will be a good day and we thought these values perfectly fitted with David’s. The group also made a small donation to a local charity, Shepherd Bush Families Project and Children’s Centre.
