History of David's recognition

Fans have been campaigning for David to be recognised in the Music Walk Of Fame in Camden Town, North London.

The organisers stated: David Cassidy meets the criteria to be honoured with a stone on the Music Walk Of Fame therefore, it will be up to those of us who know the impact and importance of David Cassidy to give a gentle nudge and reminder to those involved. This can be done in message or email on their Facebook page.

The David Cassidy Legacy Great Britain Group have organised a Music Walk of Fame petition to help put their case to the committee for David to have this in London.

It was announced in 2025 that David would get an Artist Stone on the Camden Music Walk of Fame.

On 23 July 2026, David Cassidy fans came together at the Phoenix Arts Club in London – the very venue beneath the Phoenix Theatre, where David famously starred in Blood Brothers – for a heartwarming celebration ahead of his official Artist Stone unveiling on the Camden Music Walk of Fame on 9 September 2026.
The organising group reported the following:
It was a truly special afternoon, filled with friendship, memories, and music that has touched our lives for decades. We were delighted to be joined by Lee Bennett, founder of the Music Walk of Fame, as well as performers Alexander Bowler and Keith Alderton, who gave beautiful renditions of David’s beloved songs. We also heard a wonderful speech from Rachel representing Street Storage, one of the vital charities we are proud to support in David’s name.

There was fun for everyone: singing, dancing, a fantastic raffle, and so many happy moments shared between old friends and new. Every part of this event was also about giving back, just as David would have wanted. All proceeds support four wonderful local and national causes:
• Camden Music Foundation
• I Think I Love You Animal Foundation, Inc
• Street Storage
• Castle Haven Community Association, Camden

A memorial table at the St Giles Church was also available to fans with a beautiful arrangement especially for the event, fans memorial books and candles adorned a beautiful table. David was also mentioned at the service that day.

This gathering was more than a party – it was a joyful reminder of the love that still binds us all, and a wonderful start to honouring David’s legacy in the heart of London.
