The Partridge Family - Season 3, Episode 17 (66)

Title: I Left My Heart In Cincinnati

First aired: January 26, 1973

Synopsis:
The Partridge Family sing “Girl You Made My Day” at the Kings Island amusement park, where they are doing a week of shows. On returning to their room, Shirley asks Keith, Laurie, Danny, Chris and Tracy, how they like performing at an amusement park. Laurie starts teasing Keith about being afraid of heights, after suggesting they perform at the top of the tower. Shirley tells them all to leave Keith alone, Danny then defends Keith, but only because he wants to go into town to see a movie. Reuben Kincaid arrives telling them a public relations man is coming over to show them around. On arrival to their room the Public Relations man is a woman, she introduces herself as Audrey Parsons and is there to make their stay enjoyable. Keith suddenly takes an interest in being shown around.

Later everyone, except Keith, is by the pool, when Keith arrives, they are asked if they would like a drink by a waiter. Keith decides to do a dive off the low board, there is a big splash from the pool. Danny says he will go and get Keith. After the incident at the pool Keith is resting in bed and is not happy that it was Danny that saved him. Shirley mentions that he shouldn’t have been showing off in the first place and guessed that he was trying to impress Ms Parsons. Keith tells Shirley that he is In love with Ms Parsons. Shirley tells Keith that she is a very pretty woman and that she is 10 or 12 years older than he is. Keith replies that things are different now and people are freer with their feelings.

When Keith Laurie, Danny, Chris and Tracy are having dinner, Ms Parsons stops by to see that they are all entertained. Keith asks her to take him out to show him the town, but Audrey already has a date and has to leave.

Next day Keith goes to Ms Parsons‘ office to see if she can show him around the park, but she already has a date with Danny, but is happy to show them both around the park. Keith goes with them, but does not enjoy the rides or the tower. On their return to their room Keith chases Danny around the room and informs Shirley, who has entered the room, that Danny made a fool of him in front of Audrey. Shirley tells Danny he shouldn’t have done it, but Danny tells them that he realised that he is also in love with Ms Parsons. Keith and Shirley discuss the situation with Danny and Ms Parsons. After their discussion Keith realises that he looks as silly as Danny does about Ms Parsons. Keith suggests he will talk to Danny.

Next day Keith speaks to Danny about Ms Parsons. Danny asks Ms Parsons to go out with him to see a movie, but she already has a date, it turns out to be Chris.

The song “Together We’re Better” is played while scenes are shown of the family going on the rides in the park. Danny, Shirley, Laurie and Keith arrive with food and drink to have a poolside picnic. Reuben is making a phone call to Audrey Parsons to ask her for a date that evening, unfortunately she is already going out.

There’s a reprise of “Together We’re Better” with more scenes of them all on the rides in the park.
