The Partridge Family - Season 4, Episode 6 (80)

Title: Double Trouble

First aired: October 20, 1973

Synopsis:

Keith wants to ask the prettiest girl at school to the upcoming beach party. He asks her, but the girl, Johanna Houser, has already been asked by the captain of the school basketball team. Keith is very disappointed; he doesn’t have a date.

Laurie is sorry for him, so she proposed that she can ask her friend, Sally Winkler if she’d like to go with him. Sally is a very nice girl, but not as popular and attractive as Johanna. Keith decides that she is better than no one and agrees.

But, because that basketball team is to play a match at the same time as the party is taking place, the next day Johanna tells Keith that she is free and can go with him. Now Keith has two dates for the same party. He doesn’t know what to do. He should tell Johanna that he can’t go with her, but he lacks courage. He even asks Reuben for advice and while doing it spoils his manager’s date with a stewardess, Bonnie Kleinschmidt. Danny has an idea for Keith; he should find another date for Sally. Keith’s friend, Wally Benton, knows and likes Sally; they both meet with the girl. Keith pretends to be unwell and proposes that Sally and Wally should go together to the party, and he will stay at home.

When Keith gets ready to go out with Johanna, Sally comes with a hot soup for him. Sally leaves with Wally and wishes Keith a good time at the beach with Johanna. She knew! At the last moment, as Keith is ready to go to the party, Johanna cancels their date, the captain of the basketball team can go with her after all.

A very unhappy Keith has to spend the evening with his family.
