February Shows & David’s message

David has 3 shows this month:

February 17, 2017 – Golden Nugget Casino, Las Vegas, NV.

February 18, 2017 – Canyon Club, Agoura Hills, CA

February 19, 2017 – Santa Barbara Performing Arts Center, CA.

David’s message to fans:

The February 18th & 19th shows will be the last 2 shows that I ever do on the West Coast of the USA. Traveling and my arthritis has certainly made these cross country shows much more difficult for me now. As most of you know, I live very happily in South Florida as it makes my life much more manageable.

What a remarkable, long-lived career I have been blessed to have. I love my band, whom are all very gifted, as friends. Most have now been with me for years, performing around the world and of course mostly here in the USA and Canada. Of course, I’m planning on working less and less due to travel. However, I’ve never loved playing live in concert as much as I have in the past few years. This for me has been almost like a drug! My audience reactions and phenomenal support have made it so sweet and gratifying. I could never repay the love and the reward I get from all my fans from around the world.

This is not a complete “Good bye” but I’m planning on working much less. But… Damn DO I LOVE IT!! And to all of you everywhere in the world. Happy Trails. XO. DC.

  1. what a lovely message from you david, my life has been blessed with you in it, giving me so much pleasure through your music and screen, obviously we do work less as we get older, listening to your songs on my cd player, reminds me of the days in the 70s when I first saw you, I lie back and remember those days when we were young and free, to have a career that has lasted is being blessed with talent, you will always be in my heart, hoping your health stays good, best wishes always

  2. I don’t know if I’ll meet you halfway ?, but I very happy you are living very happily in South Florida. I wish all the best for you. ❤

  3. David, thank you for your message. I can understand your decision, and it probably was something that I or any of your fans never really wanted to think about, but inevitably that time is just around the corner, but whatever makes you happy and offers you a better life we are more than willing to accept.
Most of us are getting to that age now too where we are doing the same. (Don’t forget we have been on a long journey together, 40 + years)
I have been lucky enough to see you in concert twice here in Australia. These are memories that I hold close and will never forget. You mentioned that performing for you has been almost like a drug, I can say that it has been the same for us. It was an elixir of life. I would like to thank you for all the joy you have brought into my life through your music and talent.
I hope that you will still keep InTouch with us from time to time even after you have stopped working.
    Happy Trails David XO
Thank you, much love and God bless

  5. Ah, yes, the body forcing choices. We’ve all been there, are there or will be there.

Heard this the other day — Trust in the Lord and move on. Good decision.

Husband and I using turmeric for joints. Tried it yet? Yummy on chicken. I’m using it daily.

  6. David, you have already repaid the love, many times over. The rewards for your fans has been enormous. I would have loved to see you perform in person, however, in the words of another entertainer, you can’t always get what you want. Your fans will always love you. My prayer is that you are healthy and happy.

  8. Dear David… Now that you said is not a “Goodbye” but you are planning to work less and less, that means that you won´t ever come back to the UK so I will have to think travelling to the States to see you there. My all time dream has always been to visit New York, the city where you were born. Maybe I try and get that travell in the near future.
In the mean time, take good care of yourself, enjoy life and be happy.

  10. Dear David,

You have spent so much of your life pleasing other people and now you need to have quality time for yourself. I am amazed that you have worked so hard and tirelessly for decades. I am so grateful for all the happy memories that I have of you, from seeing you in concert in the 70’s until meeting you in 2011. Your music still makes me feel the same as the first time I heard it, beautiful and moving.

You are a true gentleman and superstar.

    Thank you for the love.

    Love you forever, Anne xxx

  11. Hi David = I saw you several times in Glasgow, Scotland. Great shows and great memories. Enjoy your semi retirement. I have arthritis and had to quit working so I understand your decision. Anyways, I wish you a long, happy and healthy life. Au revoir, Margaret.

  13. Dear David

Thank you for your message. My dearest wish for you is that you are happy and healthy but of course there’s sadness in that you’ll be touring much less and not getting the chance to see you in concert. You’ve given so much happiness to your fans, of which I’ll be forever grateful and I want to thank you sincerely for everything you’ve done. The memories I have of you in Sydney, 1974 will stay with me forever. Thankfully, we still have your music to listen to. For me no other entertainer compares to you. I hope you continue to keep in touch with us, even when you eventually stop performing. Good luck with your concerts this year. I’ll love you always.

    Much love to you

  14. My Darling David,
It is no surprise to read your news. I know you’ve had some hard times and I’ve ached in sympathy for you. I suffer and have become disabled with Fibromyalgia and M.E., so I do understand how difficult it is to travel and function in ANY profession, let alone one as demanding as show business!
Please know that you have always been the love of my life and although I may never meet you again, the memories of times we have shared here in England will remain as some of the most precious in my entire life.
To be truthful, I have worried much about you in recent years. I’m glad, for YOU, that you have decided to cut right down. Your health is your most important possession . I hope you are surrounded by loved family and friends and that you revel in your ‘semi-retirement’!
Let this be, “See you later, farewell” but not “Goodbye”. Don’t simply disappear! That is too painful for me to bear. I do want to read here about you and what you are doing – you have never been one for doing nothing! I will be looking forward to seeing you relaxing and being mellow. Maybe imagining you on a beach in Maui, with overgrown hair and stubble beard, bare feet in the warm sand, waved gently lapping and a distant sound of ‘Bali Hai’ whisked in on a summer breeze…
I love you; I’ve always loved you; I always will.
Your forever friend, Jill in UK (((Hugs))) x x x

    • Waves, not waved! Honestly, I’m getting old, tired and unable to type as well as I once did, LOL! 😀 x x x

  15. DearDavid,
Thank you for your message, I am so sorry about your arthritis, I hope the Florida sunshine makes you feel alot better and pleased you are enjoying retirement.
You have worked so hard and given 100 per cent to everything you have done and achieved so much withyour great talent. You have given so much pleasure love and happiness to our lives. Although I am truly pleased you are happy, I hope so very much you will keep in contact with us all, because you are such a big part of my life still and I cannot imagine not getting anymore messages from you,you are like a dear friend. Please stay in touch and take care. Love Angela (fro the uk wet and windy Cornwall)xxxx

  16. Hi David, thank you so much for your message wishing you a happy and healthy, semi retirement, I don,t know where to start thanking you for being part of my growing up that continued, through to adulthood, I think fans in the U.K. will now realise you will definitely not be back, take this time to do what you want to do, love you always and thanks for the memories, looking forward to seeing you in Las Vegas lots of love take care Yvonne x

  17. Hi David,
I am very sorry that you are not so good health. But at some point we all go to deserved retirement. I am your fan since 1972, now 60 years old and has been retired for 9 years due to health reasons. Your music has accompanied me through all the years through hard times and helped me a lot. Like many of your fans. I own all your CD’s including Bloodbrothers and EFX. In your home in Florida, you’ll be giving some concerts. But even if you can not do it anymore, your music will stay forever. I wish that there might be another DVD of a live concert. Also it would be nice, if the 1st and 2nd season of the Partridge Family here in Germany would be repeated (the 3. And 4. ran here never). For the young generation who does not know you. She would certainly get on well here. I wish you lots of years, despite arthritis. All the best for the future. (Hopefully Google will translate my lines understandably!).
    Marlies

    Hi David,

  18. Oh my beloved David. Of course I love to see you sing and be so happy on stage, but I understand it must be quite exhausting. What I want is your happiness with health and peace. You are and will always be in my heart. In my heart, you do a show every day for me.
May God bless and always protect you
    I love you
    Claudia (From Brazil)

  19. Dear David,
I have never written a fan letter before but when I read this I decided I needed to do so. I believe when someone makes such an impact on your life you need to let them know. No other artist has had as much of an impact on my life and I am forever grateful for that. You became very special to me at the age of 10 when the Partridge family began. You were my first big crush, and I, like so many had all of your records and posters. You are one of my fondest memories from my childhood. You gave me the gift of a love for music. I have continued to follow the you through your music, shows and interviews throughout the years. I have prayed for you during the ups and downs of life and hope you know how many people love and wish the best for you. You are such a blessing and few people can say that their lives have brought as much joy to others as yours has. It is hard to believe that your career has spanned the last 50 years or that you are starting to move towards retirement. I am sad and will miss your beautiful voice but wish you a life full of health, healing and happiness. Please, please never forget that you are loved by thousands and even more by God. Words do not begin to express my gratitude. May God richly bless you in the next adventures of your life. I am forever grateful.

    Much love,

    Connie

  22. Dear David Cassidy,
I just read your post from February 1.
You are doing the right thing by working
less, God only gave you one body, and you
have to maintain your health. I am retired
from the federal government. I am 61 years
old, and when I retired 2 years ago it was
the best decision I ever made. Thank you
David for everything you do, thank you
for what you stand for. You are genuine,
all your fans have a deep heart felt love
for you. You have such an innocence
about you. Denice I am so happy for
David. I am glad you like my picture.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Life is good! David Cassidy you rock!

  23. Dear David
What a wonderful career! It brought me great joy to see you in concert at the MCG in Melbourne. A very treasured memory. Still love listening to your music. I wish you all the best for a happy and healthy retirement full of love and music.

With love from Janine (Lilydale, Australia)

  24. Dearest David – I have loved you for over 45 years. I was so glad to see you in South Scottsdale Arizona. I am sad that you won’t be coming back in concert. I am very very glad that you are taking things slowly. You have given so much to all of your fans. Now you must please rest and take care of yourself. South Florida is just the place for you. You have your horses and family/friends. I am so very very happy for you.HAPPY TRAILS xoxoxoxoxoxo With all my love. Cw Windt

  25. Maine road Manchester City football ground for me was the best in 1974, brilliant!! David you’ve certainly gave me many memories with your music especially the RCA years, thank you so much, keep performing though as people from the UK like me can reach NY.

  26. Thank you for your kind message David. You certainly have brought happiness into all our lives. From an early age you have been a big part of my life and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for making it so. Your endless talent is unremarkable and you should be so proud of yourself for all that you have achieved. Your health is paramount and, as you say, this must have been a difficult decision. Hard for us, your fans, but we concur that for 40 years plus we have had a wonderful journey with you through ups and downs but never a doubt that you are a truly magnificient musician, actor and genuinely a sweet and beautiful man.

May God bless you with health, happiness and love in your new adventure in life. Hold your family close and please David keep in touch and let us know how you are.

Happy trails and much love to you always.
    XO Sheila (UK) xx

  28. David, I do feel so sad that your arthritis has become so much of a problem that it is slowing you down from doing what you love, playing your music and bring happiness to your fans. When I learned of your decision to retire at the end of this year it started me thinking about a therapy I just learned about and experienced first-hand myself that might be of help for you. Might be worth it to check into it. It is called PEMF (Pulsed Electro Magnetic Field) Therapy. It is helpful for relieving pain and inflammation caused by many different conditions, including arthritis. Is just a thought for you to consider as I was blown away by how it helped me recently. I hate the thought of you being in so much discomfort. Much love to you forever and always David. Please stay safe, healthy and happy. If you manage to make it back to The Villages in Florida before the end of the year, that would be great! I missed the last concert, unfortunately

  29. Dear Mr Cassidy,

I loved you as a child. The Partridge Family sometimes, literally, kept me going. I particularly loved you. It has been many years since then, I am 57 now. I work in a small alternative health care shop in Northern California, and though I am absolutely sure that you must have Alternative Health Care Professionals in your life, I would like to offer my wisdom, if you are interested. Please let me know. My contact information is listed below.
Your music carried me through some of the hardest years of my life. I thought to reach out to you as it would be just a small token of appreciation. I have listed in the field below, my place of employment as my website, as I do not have my own website. I have dedicated my life to health and healing, and this place is one place where I practice and share the knowledge I have gathered through the years. I also have a small private practice, and I would happily share any and all wisdom I have gathered in the hopes that it could help you.

    Best to you,
    Marea Zendran

  30. I was a huge fan as a young girl and you were plastered over my bedroom wall adding new posters every week from uk magazines. I never got to see you live but wish it could have been possible. Thank you for all my happy memories. Take care of yourself and your family xxx

  31. Dear Mr. Cassidy, I grew up watching you on TV and listening to the WONDERFULL music that you made. I still love your music present day . I was very sad to hear that you are retiring from concerts but I was more saddened to hear about your very bad health. I wish you well and will miss hearing you sing. I will also be praying for you.

  32. Hey David !
Just to say no matter if you tour in the future or if you decide enough is enough, just know that you have always been a part of my life and I’ll always be happy for the memories and amazed that your songs can put me back in my teenage years! That’s something magic as they were happy times!
Keep smiling and take good care of yourself and thank you for being you xxx

  33. I was very saddened to hear about your horrible illness. I wish you all the very best wishes for the future. I have always enjoyed your music and think you are very under rated.

  34. David, my name is Phyllis. I live in southern Alabama. You were a Huge part of my life as i was growing up. Never will forget it. I wish you could come someplace close to the Mobile area. That would be great. Enjoy life. You deserve it. Love you.

  35. Your in my prayers and thoughts. Rest and enjoy this next chapter of your life as much as you can. Medical advances have came a long way. I’m a 5 time “Cancer Survivor” and as I have told my 2 and a Nana of twin beautiful 4yr grand-daughters, “Never Give Up” tomarrow a new day and a fresh start. I’m 54 and have always been a fan.
