Glen Campbell

I am saddened by news of the death of an old friend, Glen Campbell. He will be missed.
Glen, in the past decade, has been suffering from the disease that killed my mother and my grandfather, Alzheimer’s/dementia.
Glen was a great musician, guitar player, singer and all-around great guy. May God rest his soul.

    Dearest David,
I saw the YouTube video of you with your friend before. He is Home now with his loved ones on the other side. Eventually, he will be talking & singing with your mother and grandfather. It is those who are left behind that mourn. I do so hope you are hanging in there.

I love to re-visit David on ‘The Glen Campbell Show’ in his suede cowboy suit. I also love the footage of Mr Campbell in his white cowboy suit singing ‘Rhinestone Cowboy’ on his beautiful Cremello horse! Uplifting and wonderful.

Glen Campbell was my first celebrity Idol growing up on a farm in Warren,Indiana.
Glen had a wonderful voice and the way he made the guitar come to life!
He had a charm and warm smile and sense of humor!
Glen never forgot where he came from and what it was like being poor!
I saw Glen in FT. Wayne,In in person in approx 1970 or 71 when I was 9 or 10
and also Dec 20th 1998 here in Prescott,Az at the Yavapai College.
God Bless Glen in Heaven and his family here on earth, and may God bless and watch over you too David! (You and your music has touched me too!)

    Dear David,
Please don’t feel too pessimistic about the dementia and don’t think it will certainly come to you.
Nowadays, it can be perfectly controlled by many newly invented medication as long as we can find the syndromes at early stage.

Since you have mentioned more than once that your mom and grandma both died because of it, your full self-awareness will definitely keep you alert, not missing the best timing to go for a doctor if needed in the very beginning.

I guess you don’t read Chinese, of course. But I want to share the following website with you.
It contains some pictures showing how you can prevent dementia by simply spending 2 minutes everyday in doing what those pictures teach . I think the way that many oriental people believe it works is based on traditional Acupuncture theory.

    Best wishes to you, David.

We fans care about you and want you to stay healthy as well as happy because you have brought so much happiness to us !

I was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. I always wondered how Glen came to sing about my hometown in “Wichita Lineman.” People other than pilots and aircraft workers began to hear of Wichita after this song came out. He put us on the map.
