    • I have been watching and reading all things David Cassidy since his death. I have loved him since I was a little girl back when The Partridge Family started on TV. I can’t get enough of his beautiful smile and amazing talent. Reading his biography he shares his life and all he went through for all of us to love him and appreciate his talent. I watched his A & E special and my heart breaks for his family and seeing how much he suffered through his addiction without knowing he was leaving this earth. His band was loving and compassionate and truly cared for him. I will forever remember him as this beautiful man who gave us so much at a terrible loss to himself. RIP David Cassidy.

  1. So pleased.
Seeing just how hard it was for David to complete this EP and the compassion shown by the band it really is a fitting tribute.

  2. This is a gift he left us. Thank you to everyone who helped him. To his band: You are wonderful!

  11. I’m sure David would be thrilled that his EP is No. 1, and most deservedly so. He put his heart and soul into these recordings and when his health was suffering. I’m thrilled for him, wish he were here to see it. Love you always David.

  18. I am still having difficulty processing that dear David has passed :0(
I think it’s because of al the memories of my parents and sister who knew how much of a fan I was ….
God Bless you David always …..

  19. Really like the song, Sweet Little Thing – sexy, bluesy! I never heard the song before but, of course, like so many other things David turned me on to it. It is bittersweet to listen to Wish You Were Here. It is heartbreaking to recall how ill David was and how much pain he was in when recording the song on the A&E documentary. I cannot believe how strong he was to do so. My dear, dear mother was in great distress when she was close to her similar end. I am truly thankful the have my father’s genes as well. I am blessed that I can be around alcohol and not drink, or if I do drink (or “party”), I do not want to look at alcohol for a week or two afterwards. Yet, addiction does not negate the many wonderful things a person was. It is just so terribly painful to watch the people you love suffer. (My older and only brother who was the nicest, nicest guy and so good to me most recently passed away from kidney cancer. The word to describe his diagnosis to his death is Brutal!)
Wanted so much to go to the show 8/14, but I was away and could not change my plans even though I tried (could not go on 8/18 either – I was trapped). I returned home 8/16, and I could not wait to get to my house so I jumped on my friend’s computer (which I am on now) to see if there were any posts or pictures from the show. I honestly wish I could have seen and heard the band/friends that, as many other people have stated, were so wonderfully supportive of David. They treated him with such caring and respect. They have also done so much to honor his memory, and that is real love.
Lately, I have been watching Youtube videos of David’s music. The song, Then I’ll Be Someone, is absolutely beautiful and was written with such sophistication for his age at the time. Crazy Over You is amazing, and I often cannot get the melody out of my head which is fine by me. The 1974 clip of Rock Me Baby shows what a true Rock Star David is. He has his guitar and is wearing these funky silver, sparkle shoes – so cool, it’s great. I am searching for more videos where David shreds on the guitar. He is an awesome player. No matter what, Dearest David Rock Star Cassidy can still send me over the moon!

    • Great post Joanne , thank you.
“Cassidy Live” 1974 amazing proof of his talent as a true rock singer a a guitar player. He played guitar on “For What Is Worth” ,fabulous version. Can’t stop watching his amazing performance on June 21 , 2013 concert..Great video..Always 100%..
