Los Angeles - David Cassidy, the singing heartthrob of TV's "The Partridge Family" two decades ago, is back on the road performing such tunes as his 1970 hit "I Think I Love You."
But the 41-year-old singer says he's no rock dinosaur on the nostalgia circuit.
"I sing a lot of those songs now from a different perspective. I always said I won't go out and be an oldies act," Cassidy said in a recent interview before setting out on a 35-city tour.
"I went through all the things I'd recorded, like an old suit you haven't put on in 15 years trying to see if it can be tailored," Cassidy said.
