There was only one key question for adolescent girls growing up in the 1970s - quite simply it was, Donny or David?

For journalist and writer Allison Pearson during her teenage years in Carmarthenshire - there was no equivocation - it was David Cassidy.

Now she's used all that learning about David's favourite colour, food and trivia in her book I Think I Love You.

Speaking on Jamie and Louise's programme she told of her devotion.

Ms Pearson said: "You suddenly realise that to your horror you remember more about David Cassidy than you do about most of the boys you actually went out with.

"I thought he was mine and we were going to get married on a beach in Hawaii where he had a house, but I was very worried about what footwear I would wear for the wedding because I didn't think my Freeman Hardy Willis £9.99 platforms were going to cut it out there," she laughed.

"Living in south Wales I thought none of my clothing is going to work in that hot climate."

"I thought my devotion was great, but there are millions of women crazier than me out there."
