Entertainer David Cassidy returns to Columbia County that August for the Columbia-Greene Humane Society/SPCA Summertime Paw Open-air Picnic.

Cassidy's performance made last year's open-air picnic the major ever, in both attendance and funds raised for the beast welfare organization.

The one-time youngster idol of "The Partridge Family" and long-time singer/songwriter has Twenty albums and as many hit singles to his credit. He executes throughout the world, with his capability to take an audience to its feet cheering and clapping undiminished.

"We anticipate a large turnout," states CGHS Board Chair Charlene Marchand, "on top of, God willing, an 8th straight year of lovely picnicking weather.

"The open-air picnic takes place Saturday, August Six at Waldorf Farm, the North Chatham home of Dr. Jerry and Darlene Bilinski. The gates open at Eleven a.m. and Cassidy's concert commences at Four p.m.

In Addition intended are a gourmand open-air picnic served by Great Foodstuff Catering, wine and beer good manners of Chatham Brewery, wildlife demonstrations, tours of the farm's horse barns, live and quiet auctions, and actions for offsprings.

"We're most thankful to the Bilinskis for once more hosting the open-air picnic, our major fundraising occurrence," states CGHS President Ron Perez Jr. "We get no administration aid-federal, state or maybe local-and we hinge on donations and fundraisers to help more than 1000 unwelcome or maybe distressed beasts each year."

CGHS supplies medical and adoption services, on top of humane law enforcement in cases of unkindness, abuse or maybe disregard.
