Celebrity Apprentice rivals Meat Loaf and Gary Busey kissed as made up as the fired contestants reunited for the show's live final.

The actor and singer, who had heated exchanges during the US reality show, hugged and called a truce for the conclusion of the show.

"I've been around Gary a long time and I understand Gary," Meat Loaf said.

"One reason I understand Gary is because he's had some head trauma. But I've had 80 concussions and a fractured skull, so I completely understand him."

"I like him well," Busey said of the Bat Out Of Hell singer, before insisting: "I didn't have the fight. I was in focus at that time."

But the same generosity of spirit was not displayed by others.

TV presenter Star Jones sniped yet again at NeNe Leakes, accusing the reality TV star of attacking every black woman on the show.

The pair proceeded to talk over one another loudly, with Leakes insisting: "It's so not a racial thing."

La Toya Jackson had a dig at Jones, declaring: "Star was really manipulating everything that was going on. NeNe has a really good heart."

One contestant who was absent was Survivor winner Richard Hatch, who is serving a nine-month prison sentence for neglecting to pay taxes on his $1 million prize.

David Cassidy, who fell out with Hatch on the show, said with a smirk: "I think he's actually in the right place at the right time.'
