With a combined age of 765, a 'supergroup' of 1970s pop favourites will be coming together in a poptastic 70s revival.

Cassidy, who is 62, and Sayer, 64, are going to be joined by 70s disco legends Hot Chocolate - who have a combined age of 360. They enjoyed a string of hits in their heyday, including You Sexy Thing and It Started With A Kiss.

Fellow 70s musicians Smokie are also on the bill, who have 279 years between them.

The tour will be the oldest show in town and, with 55 British top 10 singles and more than 200million record sales between them, fans are guaranteed their share of smash hits.

Tickets for the tour, which kicks off in Birmingham before hitting Manchester, London, Newcastle, Cardiff, Sheffield and Liverpool, go on sale on Friday.

Fans of a certain age will remember Cassidy for hits such as I Think I Love You, Daydreamer and How Can I Be Sure.
