The incredible son of his Mom
DAVID CASSIDY
Turned 28 years old
I am old now, I am getting grey

David Cassidy and Kay Lenz, surprised everybody when they married not more than one year ago, are a romantic couple. Kay is filming the movie ·The Passenger- which also stars Patricia Neal, James Mason and Anthony Quinn. They are always together and becoming cuddly. Well, not always, because Kay gets up at six in the morning and David can´t resist those Pyrenean early mornings.

He arrives at the filming at noon and then when the workday ends, they return together to Tarbes where the film´s production has established its “headquarters”.

As always David is reluctant to be photographed. “It’s Kay –he says- who is working in the movie, not me”.

Fortunately, Kay is much more accessible, and, thanks to her, we got to know that the best moment for the photographs will be during the lunch on the twelfth, the date on which David celebrates his twenty-eighth birthday.

For that reason, and among others, Kay has decided to surprise him with a huge cake of several “layers” that they served him at the end of the lunch. The entire film crew were in a cabin lost in the mountains about ten kilometers from Arras.

Indeed, that was the right time, because David not only did not oppose, but even did funny faces to the camera, between smiles while technicians, artists and Anthony Quinn himself (main figure of "The Passage"), sang a noisy ·Happy Birthday to you·

After lunch, we spoke briefly with David, who said he had been doing nothing for more than two years, simply because he had not wanted to do anything, but now he rejoins the show business and will soon return to the United States to start recording a new film project that has been offered. In fact, the come-back has already been done, because a few months ago he starred in a double episode of the series "Police Story", in which he played the character of a police officer.

Now he returns but without changes of image, as was said, or anything like that. The songs will be in the same style as those that made him famous when he starred in the series The Partridge Family, just better selected, with higher quality. Cinema remains his big challenge.

My look -he says- has already changed and changes by itself a lot each day. Look at the large amount of gray hair that is coming out!

For her part, Kay Lenz continues her artistic line upwards. After "The Passenger" plans to star in two other films. Kay is an experienced actress who has worked on hit series as "Rich Man, Poor Man" where she plays the brief role of Nick Nolte's wife. This had gone unnoticed by many.
