A message from The David Cassidy Memorial Legacy Group

It is with careful consideration and research, including reaching out to some in the Saratoga Springs Community, that we have decided to postpone our David Cassidy Annual Celebration of Life Event that was to be held in Saratoga Springs New York on September 25th and 26th 2020. This a POSTPONEMENT AND NOT A CANCELLATION. Our celebrations of David and his amazing life will continue as an annual event. We are deeply saddened , but we want everyone to stay healthy. Some fans have voiced their concern of covid. Others have expressed that they have had financial distress due to shutdowns that occurred because of this pandemic. This would prevent them from attending this very special event on the 50th Anniversary of The Partridge Family airing. Several fans from overseas who wanted to attend have indicated that travel outside their countries may be prohibited due to Covid 19. As with those fans and fans in U.S. and Canada, there are concerns with with being in close proximity traveling by plane, train, bus or car. This decision to postpone, was not an easy decision, but the only one. In as much as we want to celebrate Davidโ€™s life through the annual event, the lives of all of you, are far more important. We will be presenting something great, and stay tuned for more details. Thank you again for all your support, much health and happiness to you.

  1. covid-19 has had such a devastating effect around the world, myself and my family have had holidays cancelled due to covid-19, and are not able to travel outside the uk, for fear of being quarantined at the airport, david is with me everyday in his music, i play on my mp3, as i do my daily duties, hopefully this lovely event will be able to go ahead in the future, a celebration of david`s life, wish everyone well and stay safe. thank you jane for all you have done in keeping the website and facebook page up and running, it is lovely to see what david did over the years in the videos and magazines you have posted, i wish you and your family well.

  3. It is a great shame that this event had to be cancelled ,as it is 50 years since partridge family airing ,but I can understand why .I feel worried myself of this deadly virus and don’t feel happy about travel and crowds. but we can remember David here on this website .I play his music everyday and catch up on the updates on this site .Davids memory will always live on, he will always be a part of our lives . as always stay safe everyone. and hope this event will take place in the future.

  4. Hi. I would like to see more is David’s music (CDs) & DVD in stores, they are impossible to find. I am not an online buyer. I called my local Newbury Comic music store, do you know what the kid who answered the phone said??! He said, David cassidy was of another time, we don’t sell his stuff!!!?? Another time?! I was sutprised, especially with all the other crap that is called music. I told him he should get some DAVID cassidy, women (& men) my age (58) will LOVE it. Please will there be away to bring more DC merchandise to stores? Especially now being 50 years since this SUPER STAR, SUPER TALENTED ,GORGEOUS , SEXY , HUMBLE , KIND SOUL was introduced as a singer? I am still SO in love with him, in case you can’t tell….51 years and counting!! GG. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ˜™ I love you David forever!!!

  7. David will always be in my thoughts and heart no matter where I am. I can’t stop thinking about him, he was so real & genuine. I wish He didn’t have to pass away like that, I do believe he is home with God & knows how much he was & still is loved for who he IS. His music was so touching, his voice so soothing, strong and beautiful, David I LOVE YOU SO MUCH ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š

  9. So strange to think that 50 years ago (that’s scary) I Think I Love You already was recorded..Can you believe it..May 11th , on that day was the first recording session..and also Somebody Wants To Love You..The great story of David Cassidy had started ..and he had no idea …and here we are half a century later..still fans..still enjoy, love his music..and no meeting this year with my friends, fellow fans in London..so happy I managed to be in Las Vegas outside the MGM and in Los Angeles and ..Big Sur..California .walking in DC’s footsteps..last year..

    • Yes, it is strange to think that 50 years ago I Think I Love You was already recorded, you are right saying that the great story of David Cassidy had started and that he had no idea of what was to come. As you know i liaten to David’s music every day, but I also know there are still many fans out there enjoying and loving David’s music all these years later. Hopefully once Covid 19 is even lower than now and travelling is easier, don’t know when it will be, as one of your friends and fellow fan we will meet up again in London sometime in the future. You have some great memories of your visit last year to Las Vegas outside the MGM and in Los Angeles and Big Sur, California, walking in David’s footsteps, keep hold of those.

Yes , it is scary how time passes by so quickly .to think its 50 years ago I think I love you was recorded, he had no idea of what was to come .l too love to play his music every day ,I cannot believe these songs I am listening to are what I played when I was twelve years old ,and I am sixty now .his memory lives on ,through his music .it is hard not to be able to meet up with my friend ,weronika and my other friends I have made on this website, as we usually meet up in London , but hopefully when its safer with the virus and we can travel we can all meet up again . I do miss our get togethers, but at least we keep in contact .I am so pleased you managed your trip to America .love to all DC fans ,keep safe xx
