  1. I have left a long comment on the previous Seabird Radio Special.
We all love you DAVID & always will.
THANK YOU JANE FOR KEEPING THIS SITE ALIVE1

  2. Some entertainers just have that special “magic.”

Nothing less. Just a magical connection to fans for lots of different reasons.

But such impact often times comes with a dark side like family history of alcoholism making it hard for them, I suspect, to just be satisfied in their own skin.

Even so, the positive impact of their talent stays with people. David Cassidy fans are for life!

  3. 3 years and it seems like yesterday😢
We will never, ever forget you David
    Love you always & forever

Hugs to Jane and fans for keeping all that wonderful memories.

  5. David Cassidy you are remembered so deeply in so, so, so, and soooo, many hearts around the world. You had that special touch, that people just loved about you. Today sadness and happiness combine what you meant to everyone. David Cassidy our work as fans is a joy,we want the best legacy for you.

  6. Hi. Thank you David for sharing your life with us! I love you so much, you are a beautiful man through & through. I will love you forever! 💚💙💚💙

  7. Thinking of you today David ,you left us much too soon .always remembered , never forgotten 1950 – forever

  8. I will never forget you. Love you forever. You left us far too soon. I hope you are at peace. Xxx

  9. I’ve played The Partridge Family music so much this year. It made me feel better during this crazy time we are all going through. His voice calms all my fears away. R.I.P. dear David.

  10. We all miss him. Thankfully we have youtube so we can still watch & listen to David anytime we want. Concerts, interviews, tv shows, etc. We can always keep him with us. Love & Peace to all his fans.

  11. three years today that you left us but David your love and light will shine forever more

    Love and miss you.
You will stay forever in my heart

  12. Fourth day of agony…three years ago today it was a long, long day. We hadn’t heard anything from David’s health. Some said “No news are good news”. It was so odd but I prayed and prayed 🙏🙏
At the end of the day we knew about the most horrible thing. He had left us. I was totally in shock. David left us and a part of me left with him.
I was devastated, I thought to close my Facebook account. In fact, I was just because of him and he wouldn’t be here anymore.
A good friend of mine, Lizbeth, convinced me to stay. “We have to keep his memory alive”.
Now, I think I did the right thing. My friends/ fans understood my feelings exactly because they were mine. I don’t know if we could have made it without the support of each other.
Some days later, David sent me a beautiful white feather. He still does that from time to time so feel him so close to me.
What it comforts me is to think he is a peace now and no longer in pain but I miss his physical presence 😔😢😢
Thank you David for everything. See you in Heaven… I love you, my sweetie 💝

  13. I’ve been playing his music all afternoon and will be watching The Partridge Family Season 4 tonight. It’s an all DAVID day! Lots of great memories to make me smile. And cry too. Thanks David for all that you’ve given us.

  14. When David died it was like losing a family member. And I am still heartbroken about it. I guess some wounds never heal. Rest in peace David. I love you.

  15. Thank you Jane for your words about David, I’m sure we all feel the same as we remember him on the 3rd anniversary of his passing and I feel no less heartbroken . He was so special and is irreplaceable. He gave so much to others, I wish he had received what he needed in his life. I’ve loved him for nearly 50 years and he’s always been that special person in my life. Played his DVDs yesterday, he was incomparable. Watching his interviews he made you feel so good with his famous smile and personality, it was infectious. He must have been such fun to work with, and easy to get along with. Remembering and loving you always David. You were one in a million xxxxxx RIP.

  16. Wow! Three years already! I remember when I first heard the news about David passing away. I was heartbroken then and I’m still heartbroken now. The one thing that comforts me about this, is that David is in a place where there is no more pain and no more sickness. He is in Heaven with the Lord Jesus Christ, and that is a very good place to be. I’ll love you and miss you forever, David. Rest in peace.

  17. I hope he’s found the peace in his heart now that he never could find in his life. God Bless David Cassidy.

  18. I will always remain a caring, loving fan of David Cassidy despite his tragic end. His singing touched my heart. Rest in peace.

  19. Three years have gone so quickly, it feels like yesterday to me.
I will always love and remember you David

  20. Remembering David – a kind soul, a beautiful smile and an incredible voice, who meant so much to us in our youth, and still does today. I’m thinking of his family and his fans on this sad anniversary. Take care all. xx

Thanks especially to you Jane for your continued work – a labour of love – but it still takes time and commitment. All the best to you. xx

    Lyn

  21. There will always be a place in my heart for David, so sadly missed but never forgotten, taken so early but resting in peace and out of pain. Your music and memories will be with us forever, I will never stop listening to your beautiful voice and songs. Angela

  22. David’s Legacy will live on with us forever but I believe its long over due for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to seriously consider induction of David Bruce Cassidy into its Class of inductees from Jimmy Pearl of Bayonne, New Jersey.

    • I signed the petition some years ago..but Im sure they just ignored ten of thousands of signatures..and now I don’t care..We know that David Cassidy was a great singer and he had his impact on history of music..he was one of a kind..unique .encouraged a lot of people to start playing music….And his songs..his voice..it was and is a pure magic.. he is listen to by members of my family..At the beginning they had no choice..But really each of them found sth for themselves..my mum loves ‘As Time Goes By’ and ‘Any Dream Will Do’..my grandson ‘Santa Claus Is Coming To Town’ and listening to ‘Billy and Blaze’ read by David..My sister ‘Daydreamer’..and so on.. At Christmas we listen to Polish carols but also Partridge Family Christmas Songs..So ..if they don’t want him in the R&RHOF.. it is their loss..

    • Bob Seger is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame – but not his magnificent Silver Bullet Band. I note this because his saxophonist – Alto Reed (R.I.P.) – has just died and it was mentioned. The Silver Bullet Band have been rockers “par excellence”… I, personally, don’t see the logic in some of the decisions… David Cassidy could certainly rock, when he chose to…

  23. I always think of this song when I think of David’s passing. Sleep in peace David.

“Some roads are long, some roads are hard
And sometimes I can’t find my way
Just like tonight, I’m in the dark
There’s really nothin’ left to say
I could get crazy, I could get mad
But right now baby, I just feel sad”.

  24. 28. I discovered David soon after his death and fell in love!!! I’ve thought of him daily for the last few years and frequently listen to his music, interviews, watch PF and other shows that he appeared on. He was truly a talented, giving, kind, beautiful person inside and out! Yesterday, on the 3rd anniversary of his death, I visited his childhood home in west orange NJ and placed flowers and a candle on the doorstep… in his memory.

    Tracey Q

    • Dear Tracey,
Thank you so much for putting flowers and a candle on the doorstep of David’s childhood home in West Orange, NJ, in his memory. I live about an hour away from there, and I would love to go there. I would love for it to become a museum someday.
I have loved David since 1972. if you or any of David’s fans would like to contact me, please contact me at Judywest54@yahoo.com. I would love to hear from any David fans who would like to contact me.
I, too, love watching David’s videos, and I love David’s website.
I thank you, Jane, for such a wonderful website! I also thank all of you who made such wonderful videos of David! This website and David’s videos are such a wonderful way to keep him with us. I am asking God to keep you all well and safe. God bless you all.

      Love & Prayers, Judy

  29. thank you for the lovely video of david from 1992, starting of the set for the beach boys, loved hearing songs he rarely played , a joy to watch, he is with me everyday in his music, and in my heart.

  30. Hi my lovely friends… Thank you Isabel, Sian, Lyn for your concern about me. I posted on the 21 November but it was not showed that day. I talked to Jane yesterday and she fixed it.

I made this video in memory of David. He is now energy and he is everywhere so that’s why most of my graphics are mixed with the nature.

  48. Hi GG… I don’t mind at all sharing my beautiful experience. It’s here on David’s site but I can tell you I was lucky enough to meet him at his Pre-Birthday Party in London 2011. It was a night to never forget. He was so caring and lovely to me!!… He was also such a funny guy and very sexy (as you all know).
David made me feel the only woman in that room. We both hugged so tight each other, he whispered: “Awwwwe, sweetie!!” in my ear and he even let me kiss him. Such a magical moment 💝

  49. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Have a lovely day even it’s a different one.
And for you David, have a blessed one in Heaven. I 💝 you

  50. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, and to David’s family. May everyone’s day be enjoyed, and may everyone be blessed, we are David Cassidy fans and as continue to celebrate David, let’s remember all the kind and caring acts David did. 53. ….loved David for over 50 years….in our heart’s…forever….and a day….just pray you have the peace you soo deserve….xx💋❤❤❤❤

  54. I loved David Cassidy and his music. My first heartthrob. He had such a wonderful genuine smile, seemed sensitive and caring. Good looking. I loved hearing him sing as his singing cut to my heart. I am sad he struggled so much with alcohol. I hope he had a relationship with God, so I can see him in heaven. He touched a lot of people with his music. I still listen to it today at age 64. What a talented guy! I enjoyed The Patridge Family show also. I can see why he just had to quit everything as his schedule was crazy. No one can work like that continuously! We need plenty of rest too.,And David was not getting enough of that. I still feel blessed how he touched our world!!. Thank God for David Cassidy!!

  55. Hi. Every time I watch a video or see pictures of David I have never seen before, I fall deeper & deeper in love love with him. I love you David, I hope you can feel my love for you. 💚💙💚💙

  56. …..it’s a true love affair even though I never touched or met him, it feels so real & right . 💚💙💚💙

  57. …such a special, beautiful man to have that affect on so many for so long & to attract new fans too. God definitely placef David in a very special place, I am sure! 💚💙💚💙

David is on my heart & in mind very much today for some reason. I hear his voice & see his darling face, gorgeous smile & eyes in my mind as though he is with me. I love you David, I love you so, so, so much 💙💚💙💚

  58. Sandy Dvore..died in November..he was 86..the man who made..it was his original idea ,The Partridge Family logo and the animation sequence ..

  59. I read that Sandy Dvore died. I am reminded of the Partridge Family bird logo everytime I drink a cup of coffee as I have Randy Fung’s teardrop version on my cup. I wonder what Sandy thought of his design on the billboard after David died or if he knew about it?

  60. Is it too early to start playing The Partridge Family Christmas Card (vinyl of course)?

  61. No ,its not too early to play it.I played the partridge family Christmas card yesterday. Such a beautiful album to listen to. Certainly makes it feel like Christmas.

  62. I have taken your advice but I only have a cheap little record player with no space inside the case for the cable. After an extensive search, I appear to have thrown the cable away 😂. An MP3 will have to do!!

  63. So many new updates..everyday..articles..interviews..thank you so much for your work..

  64. I know! Thanks for posting all of them!!! That’s what I meant in previous post, every time I see something new, I fall deeper & deeper in love with David & I am already sooooooooo in love with him 💚💙💚💙

  65. I watched The Partridge Family when I was in high school and of course I thought that David Cassidy was so gorgeous and adorable. Loved how handsome he was but loved the nuances of his personality…and that megawatt smile and that laugh! Also so loved his voice and his singing. But I didn’t really follow his career post-Partridge Family. I’m currently 67 – only three years younger than he was.

Fast forward to me now watching the Partridge Family reruns on TV. I was watching the other night and I remember hearing that David had passed away not that long ago. I then found myself going down the rabbit hole of Googling and watching YouTube videos. And I also discovered this wonderful website.

I realize that I’m decades late to the party and that I’m not telling all of you anything that you don’t already know…but I watched many interviews and programs that he did over the years and so impressed with how he handled himself. He was so adorable, funny, intelligent, charming and self-deprecating. Loved reading about his back story and interesting life.

I came across the 2004 concert that was filmed at the Hammersmith Apollo Theatre in London. I was just blown away when he talked about John Lennon visiting and then played the three Beatles songs on his acoustic guitar beautifully. But my very favorite part was when he was introducing his two beautiful backup singers (the “Sirens”) and they just blasted into Gimme Shelter. Holy crap – David was just on fire.

Also found Bali Ha’i. What? Was he really only 23 when he recorded that? I was stunned how beautiful it is. Is it true that he recorded it for his Mother who loved that song?

Sorry this is so long, but I don’t have anyone to talk to about this and they wouldn’t understand. Just wanted to share with other people who might. And thank you so much for this website. I was watching footage of him in Blood Brothers today as I was very curious about that. He was fabulous. I loved watching him evolve through the decades – it was fascinating. Gorgeous human being. I regret not getting to see him perform live.

Godspeed, David. Thank you for everything.

    • What a nice post Betsy..Welcome..we are here fans from all over the world..talking about David..Many friendships have been made here..And our website ..is just the most fabulous library..a real David’s legacy..we are so grateful to Jane for running it..And Bali Ha’i..that whole album(Dreams Are..) was so special..his own..he said ‘if you don’t like this album , you don’t like me. All my dreams and wishes are here’..I love Bali Ha’i..it’s my private ‘funeral’ song..
      Big hug
      Weronika,
      Warsaw, Poland

      • Hi Weronika,

Love that you live in Poland! My grandmother’s family was from Poland.

Thank you for replying. I’ve already downloaded Dreams Are and listening to it now…it’s so good. Can’t believe he was only 23. But Bali Ha’i is so haunting and beautiful. Do you know if there is any footage of him singing it?

One of the first things I watched was his 2014 interview with Piers Morgan (CNN) and then I went back in time. It’s like a film where it starts out with the ending and then they take you back to the beginning and work your way back to the end…but you know the ending the entire time. Just keep thinking about him. Watch/listen to the Hammersmith Apollo concert a lot. It’s so strange…don’t understand how this happened.

I just hope he is now in his special Bali Ha’i somewhere.

        Betsy xx

P.S. Thank you Jane for this website.

  66. Hi Betsy, I know how you feel, I am fairly new to this site but have love and followed David for 50 years; I have no one to talk to about him either, except may be 1 brother but mainly we just talk about David’s music, here I express my love for him which I know everyone can relate to but I do apologize for expressing it so deeply, but it’s how I feel about him and will feel forever 💚💙💚💙

    • Hi GG,

Thank you for replying! I don’t know how this happened all of a sudden…but I am so deeply touched by him and his music, acting, etc.. I’m so grateful for all the videos and music that he has left as his legacy. No apologies for expressing how deeply you feel about him – so understandable!

      Betsy xx

  67. Dreams Are Nuthin’ More Than Wishes was the first David Cassidy album I owned. I spent hours reading all the handwritten notes about each track….

  68. Hello everybody!^^

I just popped in to wish you all a Happy Christmas.

I’m listening to the ‘Rock Me Baby’ album on CD, which arrived in the post today. I’m really enjoying it. I hope that you are all well and happy.

    Long Love David!^^

  69. Hi Jeremy! nice to hear from you .Happy Christmas to you too. So pleased you are enjoying the ‘Rock Me Baby ‘album it’s a great album .I have it on vinyl and CD ,also love ‘Dreams are Nuthin more than wishes ‘ songs such as Bali Ha’i and Cant go Home again .even down to the album cover its self with die cut textured gatefold picture sleeve .and the hand written notes .I have practically all his albums on vinyl and CD each one different ,but all great in their own way.

  70. ARACELI Aww sweetie it’s that time of year again! Happy Birthday to ya, Happy Birthday to ya, Happy Birthday! For tomorrow, at last I’ve got your birthdate correct. Can you tell me what you’re eating & drinking as every year you look younger & younger. This year you look like your 21! I’ll have some of whatever your having (ha, ha).
Also, it goes without saying thanks for your latest DC video, & all the others of course. Lots of virtual hugs to you. We should be giving you loads of presents if we could, but if you have time could you put the links to all the videos that you have made all in one place. Everyone could then see all your beautiful creativity that you have made these past years. I myself have seen the ones you have created Since DC’s passing. Don’t know if you had made any before.
Anyway Araceli, how are things in Spain. Things are not really good here. Second main lock down has just been lifted, but Covid numbers rising again particularly among schoolkids, & in areas in & around London & Wales! And this so called vaccine that Britain has got, the medical experts say it only lasts a year!!!
Araceli, have a lovely day tomorrow & keep safe. Keep safe everyone.
We remember Jack today. British viewers did you watch on channel 5 during the summer, Britain’s favourite detective. Columbo was in the top 5,
& they showed stills of a number of episodes that Jack acted in. A couple of days later they aired an episode that Jack appeared as the baddie. I recorded it, just wanted to see DC’s dad in action. Although I have seen him previously years ago in a few episodes of Bewitched, & an episode of a cowboy series that he guest starred in.
DC had the same eyes & stunning cheekbones as his dad. So sad about their relationship while they were both alive. In ‘The Last Session’ still remember the bit where DC said ‘he abandoned me’, & was crying as he said he missed him! Heartbreaking, just goes to show whatever age you are, you still long for your parents! What a kind & forgiving person DC is. I am grateful & thankful to Jack & Evelyn for producing such a special lad. Rest in Peace the original unit of 3, re-united.
Will talk to you all soon. Make this coming end of year celebrations extra special as we all need an extra boost of good cheer with the past years we have all experienced & particularly this year.
Please Keep Safe, love to you all. You are all the loveliest & nicest Gentlemen & Ladies one could ever wish to meet. If everyone on the planet were like you all, the world would be in such a better place.
    Love Adeola.

  71. This is an awesome website and the people are soooooo womderful, especially when you have to listen to me!) Thank you for letting me express myself, no one I know would ever understand, but I know you all do! Merry Christmas, happy holidays & to a better 2021!! LOVE to you David!!!!!💚💙💚💙

  72. Hi. I am NEVER going to get over David….EVER. The you tube video of a Song For You, is beautiful. Just when I think my passion calms down I see a video, hear David sing and it starts all over. I love him 💚💙💚💙 Merry Christmas everyone.

  73. Hi to all my dear friends and special thanks to Adeola and Sandra for the lovely Birthday wishes, you are all so nice.

Welcome to the new fans, you have come to the best place to learn everything about David.

How beautiful post you can read on here, all of us habe such lovely feelings about this special man. Today 37 months ago David left this Earth forever, still hard so much but comforting is to know he is in a better place now.

Adeola, here you are the link to my YouTube Channel, I named it Mysweetobsesion, I think I couldn’t have chosen a better name to express my love for him:

    https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCkMA8jdFo670TTmkaI4Fvcw

Merry Christmas to everyone and hope that 2021 brings us much health and a bit of calm, we really need that.

Big hugs to all from Spain 💝

  74. Merry Christmas to you too Araceli and to all David’s fans. And also to Jane, thank you for keeping this website alive for David’s many fans. I hope we all have a better year in 2021. Thinking of David this Christmas too of course, our 4th without him. Yes, comforting that he is in a better place without pain of any kind. Happy Christmas and best wishes everyone.

  75. Happy Christmas, everyone. I’ve just recently discovered this website and all of the videos and interviews and performances online and just can’t get enough of it. When I need a pick-me-up, I watch one of David’s performances or interviews. He is just somehow electrical energy. Can’t believe or understand how he’s touched me all of a sudden at this point in my life. There’s so many layers to discover and I’m having a wonderful time exploring and reflecting on his life.

Thank you so much, Jane, for creating and keeping this website breathing with his phenomenal talent and gorgeous adorableness.

    • Also, I saw him perform “Then I’ll Be Someone”(The Russell Harty Show 1976) and loved it. But evidently it was never released on an album? Can’t find it anywhere?

      • Hi Betsy..No, you can’t. It was never released, written by Carl Wilson and
Tandyn Almer (Beach Boys)..I heard that the song was to be on ‘Gettin’It In The Street’ album..but Mick Ronson ..didd’t like it..But it’s only a gossip..there are some interesting stories..about those recording sessions in 1976.

        • Thank you so much, Weronika. Luckily I can watch it on YouTube. It’s wonderful and him playing the piano is fabulous.

          • Yes..in the 70s he played the piano quite a lot..at the concerts (there is a video ‘From Australia With Love’) and when he was a guest star..my fav is The Wolfman Jack Show’ (October 1976) DC playing piano and singing ‘Junked Heart Blues’…and he also played the piano( on his albums ..Enjoy discovering David Cassidy..

    • Hi Betsy,
It’s love. David makes you feel good to watch him and listen to him talk and sing, especially now. It takes a special soul to make you feel that way, God gave him that gift and now David is free and happy and can feel our love for him!

  76. Merry Christmas to all of David’s fans, on this site.

Merry Christmas to you, Jane, our Webmaster.

For those who cannot feel merry, I wish you a very peaceful and thoughtful Christmas…

  78. Weronika – thank you for the suggestion. I just watched DC on The Wolfman Jack Show’ (October 1976) playing piano and singing “Junked Heart Blues.” I can see why it’s your favorite. I don’t know what to say…I feel like he was an old soul; he had been here before. It’s in his eyes and his demeanor. Stunning.

    • Thank you so much, GG. I found and watched/listened to all of these. All are beautiful but “As Time Goes By” …stunned me and made me cry. Can see why you love all of them. Thanks, again.

      • Hi Betsy, Glad you watched them!! I know. As Tme Goes By is a masterpiece. I love that David can sing any genre of music and did! So much a part of his charm and magnetic personality. I try to pick a favorite, but its impossible. Mind if I tell you a few more that I frequently watch? I’m having such a good time sharing this and talking to people who understand how i feel about David. I watch. Dammed if This Ain’t Love, Tomorrow (he is soooooo sexy in this one, I like the remastered version), I Am A Clown (both the Germany version he’s sexy in denim & the Glasgow version in concert, his eyes in the beginning are breath taking), Since I Fell, Heard You Singing Your Song, Oh No Not My Baby, A song For You……..I think I better stop!!! Thanks for reading my post too. GG

    • GG- just found As Time Goes By. Have just kept watching it over-and-over and I’m just overwhelmed and in tears. He was just ethereal.

      • Actually mean that I found it again (As Time Goes By). It’s breathtaking. Thank you, GG!

  87. I have kind of been binge watching different shows through the five decades with DC. I love watching him talk, sing, giggle, act, eye-twinkle and be adorable. He just lights up everything; you can’t take your eyes off of him. He just seems like an old soul – like he’d been here before.

I love to watch him charm the socks off of presenters and interviewers, acting like he’s never heard THAT question before. Telling his story and evolution. I love to watch the skepticism of some of the interviewers at the beginning of the sit-down…and see their expression and attitude about him change after they listen to him.

I love watching/listening to songs like Bali Ha’i, Tomorrow, Then I’ll Be Someone, As Time Goes By and Gimme Shelter repeatedly. But I watched him on a show this morning that I just loved. Believe it or not it was the Win, Lose or Draw game show (1989). I watched every single episode because I just loved seeing him in a different light. He was so charming, adorable and funny – just a guy earnestly playing games with other people. He didn’t have to answer the same questions over-and-over or explain again why he retired when he did. He didn’t have to sing or act (which I’m sure he loved). He was just being David Cassidy – not DAVID CASSIDY.

Man, he is so missed. I can’t even imagine how much his family and close friends miss him. I just hope he’s in his own special Bali Ha’i now — no more worries.
