Remembering David in New Jersey

David Cassidy will be remembered on his birthday, Sun., April 12, during the 9:30 am service at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in West Orange, New Jersey. Back in November, Reverend Hernandez also remembered David on the anniversary of his passing. David was baptized, attended bible study classes, was lead soloist in the junior choir and was a congregation member of Holy Trinity Church.

Make it a day and check out David’s historical marker and the David Cassidy Way street sign! At his former home, the lawn signs from the July event will be up from Friday till Sunday. Please be respectful on the property. The resident is aware people will be stopping by. You can also stop by Rosedale Cemetery where David’s grandparents (Fred & Ethel Ward) are buried and pay your respects. Rosedale Cemetery has beautifully cleaned their headstones just in time for David’s birthday! Enjoy the town, have lunch in West Orange, visit the breathtaking 911 Memorial in Eagle Rock Reservation, right next to The Highlawn and see the gorgeous NYC skyline, visit the Thomas Edison museum. So much to see and do. Have fun and enjoy David’s childhood hometown that held a special place in his heart.

David Cassidy for the Hall

Students in a Public Relations capstone class at American University in Washington, D.C. are leading a campaign with the goal of getting David Cassidy into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Currently, the most effective way for fans to influence the board is by physical votes at the electronic “Voice Your Choice” kiosks located inside the Museum in Cleveland. Fans can visit the Museum and enter David’s name as a future nominee at these kiosks. The Hall tracks these mentions to gauge public demand. There is no fee to nominate someone, but there is a $40 admission fee to enter the Museum to reach the kiosks.

For those who cannot vote in person, the best way to help is to follow their social media pages, like and repost the content, and leave comments of support. We want to show the Hall that David’s global fanbase remains incredibly vibrant.
