Remembering David

As we mark eight years since David’s passing, we still miss him but we also celebrate the enduring impact of his life and work. We are grateful for the joy he brought to us, the friendships made and the way he still enriches our lives.

David’s website continues to grow with new material regularly added, keeping his spirit alive in a digital space. Here is a new video, just added to his website – On March 20, 1976 David sang “Run And Hide” on  Samedi est à vous, a French TV show.

This Friday, November 21, marks the 8th anniversary of the passing of one of West Orange’s favorite sons, David Cassidy. 

The David Cassidy West Orange Historical Marker Facebook Group has arranged to have Reverend Hernandez include David Cassidy in his ‘prayers of the people’ during the 9:30 am Sunday Mass on 11/23. A memorial candle will all also be displayed. All are welcome!

They also invite fans to visit special lawn signs displayed at his childhood home at 23 Elm Street, from Thursday through Sunday.

While in Downtown, you can visit the Historical Marker that was installed at Colgate Field (on Franklin Avenue) and the Elm Street corners that were co-named in his honor (on Franklin Ave and Harrison Ave) this past summer.

July 30, 2025 – Remembering David

The Town of West Orange, New Jersey has agreed to co-name Elm Street as “David Cassidy Way” where David lived at his grandparent’s home, during his childhood.   This is in addition to the Historical Marker that is being placed at Colgate Field in West Orange, where David played Little League Baseball. 

The unveiling with take place on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. 

Now you can own an official town sized David Cassidy Way sign ($75.00) or a miniature version ($45.00). This special piece of memorabilia will be a wonderful addition in keeping David’s legacy alive.

This is a PREORDER with a deadline of 5/31/25. Prices are not guaranteed after May 31, 2025. These pre-order signs will be ready to ship by the end of June, 2025. Choose either to ship it or pick it up for free in West Orange at Uptown Ink & Thread, 33 Harrison Avenue. Taxes and shipping costs will be added during checkout.
