  1. Awwwe, such lovely albums!! My all time favourite is “Dreams are nuttin´…” but I must add the Cassidy Live was the only way for me to attend a David´s concert during the 70´s
    .
In an interview from those crazy years, I heard David saying his favourite song from that time was Rock Me Baby.

Cherish is another special album as it was the one we listening to at his Pre-Birthday Party in London in 2011… Amazing memories!! ♥

    • Was there in 2011, it was a good event .
Talked to David,Beau, Terri Cote and Mike Read.
David sang my wife and i just had memories and talk to others .
My wife still has the piece of birthday cake.
What a voice and entertainer and meeting him first impressions an ok guy.

      • Yes, that event was fantastic. I was sat at the same table than Beau and his band The Fates.
I also met Teri, Sully and Frank. They all were good for David. I miss seeing all of them and travelling along the UK just to see my David.
I still have the clothe table and the little black bag with the two almonds that were over the table.
It was a so special night. David was cute, lovely, funny… such a sweetheart 💝

  2. great albums, remember listening to cherish in the 70s as a teenager, i am a clown and blind hope two favorite songs which i listen to today, might just treat myself as September 27 1958 is my birthday, who i believe i share it with Shaun Cassidy, i did buy the vinyls then transferred the albums to cd when they first came out, be nice to have a box collection. dreams are nuthin more than wishes i do have this album on cd in my collection, and i remember when i first had the internet and saw David`s website, and sing me played another favorite, when i saw him in Mervin`s Xmas advert singing do you believe in magic, was amazed, on the internet for the first time, such magical times, and David brought such joy and magic to my life.

  3. I’ve pre-ordered mine, I have them all on vynil and CD except for Cassidy Live so really looking forward to listening to it. I hope as many people as possible buy it.

  4. I,ve pre ordered mine…..this could be the start of great things to come,if enough interest is shown…..I would love all the un released songs we have never heard, and DVD,s of 70,s footage we have never seen Xxx

  5. Hi Yvonne and Doreen, Yes I also hope this leads to more of David’s material being released. It would be great if the three RCA albums and other unreleased songs could also be released in this way and if earlier concert footage could be released on DVDs also. I also will buy a copy of this new release.

Unreleased songs, that David Cassidy put his voice on that is hot news, and great news, the world will never hear a voice again like David Cassidy , his singing voice was a special delivery to our ears, and reached into all of our hearts. He took music seriously, he wanted a perfected outcome. It’s up to us fans, to make his legacy a landmark in musical history.

  18. I see on Amazon that on Dec. 17 they are releasing the Kindle version of David’s original book, C’mon Get Happy: Fear and Loathing on the Partridge Family Bus. It will be $17.99, which is a lot better than what I paid for a hard copy last year.

  20. IM SURPRISED THAT ALL THE FANS WHO PURCHASED RECENT 4CD SET DAVID CASSIDY ,THE BELL YEARS 1972-1974 HAVE NOT POSTED THEIR THOUGHTS OR WHAT THEY EXPERIENCED WITH THIS AWESOME COLLECTION.THIS IS THE VERY BEST OF DAVIDS SOLO ALBUMS ESPECIALLY THE LIVE ALBUM REALLY POWERFUL IN SOUND COMPARED TO WHEN COLLECTORS CHOICE RELEASED THIS ON A SINGLE CD SOME YEARS AGO….I LOVE THIS ERA OF DAVID MUCH MORE THAN THE UPDATED VERSIONS HE PERFORMED IN LATER YEARS……THE HECK WITH THE HARDER EDGIER STUFF THAT WAS SO PREVELENT IN THE 80S AND 90S THIS IS THE STYLE THAT MADE THE SONGS GOOD MUCH LIKE BREAD, CARLY SIMON,ELTON JOHN,AMERICA,3DOG NIGHT AND MANY AT THIS TIME DONE SUCCESSFULLY……TEN THUMBS UP FOR THIS HIGHLY MUST HAVE CD SET.

  21. Amazing great albums , all songs sound so fresh , timeless music. Tomorrow is October 27th. On that day 46 years ago “Daydreamer” reached nr 1 in the UK and stayed at the top for 3 weeks…

  22. Dear Jane & team, we’d like to thank you for the continuation of this lovely site. All the updates, all the info that you kindly share with us about our lovely man. Also the chance for us fans all over the world, to talk about anything & everything DC related.
In the coming months the footprint on this site will increase, what with DC anniversaries coming up & the holiday season encroaching upon us. Bruce Cassidy lovers, Jane has many other pressing demands on her time, like all of us. Yet she does a magnificent job!
Jane lucky you, you knew David personally so it must be really hard for you as regards his absence. I’m just a mere fan who loves him & saw him from afar, but I still get upset seeing his videos etc. Our deepest condolences to you Jane, & thank you.
Love from the UK, & Love to David , rest in peace Darling.

  23. I am very pleased with my boxset .I have these Albums on vinyl and also CDs, but wanted the boxset with the great little booklet as a tribute and keepsake of the Bell years .they are great albums love ” Dreams are nuttin ” but also love Cassidy live ,I feel the atmosphere of really being there.Daydreamer is a great song ,I have the music sheet and play my guitar to it .that way the song is part of me .

  24. Love the boxset, like most I have these on vinyl, but wanted to have them on CD and had been hoping that there would be a boxset. I love all of albums, but i love to listen to Cassidy Live as i was at I was at the White City concert when this recording was done, takes me right back to being there.

  25. There’s a new locally owned oldies radio station here, The Drive (KDRI 101.7 FM) that features mostly 70’s music, and today I texted one of the DJs to request that they add David to their playlist (since they’ve been on the air a few months now and I have yet to hear them
play his songs). He texted back and said “I will mention this to programming, I love me
some DC as well!” So if any of you live in the Tucson AZ area, call or text
KDRI and hopefully they’ll add David to their playlist!

    • So nice..No Polish radio station plays DC music..Once I wrote to the very popular mag ( they also write about music) about “Songs My Father Taught Me” that it was such an amazing album , how special , his last gift. .Just listen to it, so moving , such a feeling in it..And the man answered me that he had never been impressed by David Cassidy , in the 70 s that was the music for little girls..Can you believe it?? I have stopped reading this mag.

      • HI WERONICA, THE GUY /DJ THAT WAS RUNNING THE RADIO STATION YOU MENTION WAS NOW IS STILL VERY IGNORANT TO THINK THAT DAVID AND HIS MUSIC ONLY APPEALED TO LITTLE GIRLS….I DONT BLAME YOU AT ALL FROM NO LONGER READING THE MAG AND I WOULD EVEN GO SO FAR AS TO CALL THE RADIO STATION AND PRONOUNCE HIM AS BEING VERY NAIVE ABOUT DAVID AND THE FAN AGE RANGE THEN AND NOW.

      • Little girls can have a deep appreciation of music. I was learning to play piano on a Steinway concert grand at the age of 5 years and church choral music meant the world to me – as well as the music of The Beatles. I had Turandot’s operatic arias overwhelming me in my home around the same time… The radio guy is unworthy of any radio station, frankly.

By the time I saw David in concert – just before I turned 15 – I was more than capable of judging the sheer quality of his work. David Cassidy was a sensationally good singer….

          • …And you, Weronika. It just suddenly seemed to me so absurd. Certainly, thousands of girls just screamed at David’s concerts… but did they necessarily not notice how he handled those songs – in their bedrooms? Being a little girl – or a woman – doesn’t mean you have no discernment…

          • this dj weronika spoke about obviously was not nor ever was a fan of david….david touched many girls and boys men and women from every corner of the world different cultures life styles of all ages….wasnt just limited to one group of people…..he is by far very ignorant and naive to the fans of a great singer……

  26. I listen to United djs ,here in the UK. They also play oldies music 60s ,70,80s and often play David Cassidy songs which is great ,so people can hear how good his music is .which I don’t hear on other radio stations. my friend Doreen who I met on David’s website introduced me to the station. Doreen and Deb my other DC friend requested his songs to be played ,which they did .we should be hearing his music much more !

  27. Thankyou Denice for letting us know ,I first heard yesterday I believe he was 89 years old. It is very sad news ,as we have lost a few people from the partridge family years including Dave Madden,,Suzanne Crough .and the sad passing of David so many memories of that time .may they all rest in peace .

  28. Beautiful age , 89 , but of course, it’s very sad. I have read some very interesting interviews with him.. He was also a very successful playwriter. David Cassidy in 1982 performed in his play “Tribute” in Calgary, Canada. That was a story about a show business veteran , divorced from his wife and estranged from his only son. David played the son…
And Hal Blaine has died in March this year..and Gary Dubin (Punky Lazaar) in 2016. He was only 57.
May they all rest in peace.

  29. HI WERONICA, THE GUY /DJ THAT WAS RUNNING THE RADIO STATION YOU MENTION WAS NOW IS STILL VERY IGNORANT TO THINK THAT DAVID AND HIS MUSIC ONLY APPEALED TO LITTLE GIRLS….I DONT BLAME YOU AT ALL FROM NO LONGER READING THE MAG AND I WOULD EVEN GO SO FAR AS TO CALL THE RADIO STATION AND PRONOUNCE HIM AS BEING VERY NAIVE ABOUT DAVID AND THE FAN AGE RANGE THEN AND NOW.

  30. Hi…. My favourite is also the Cassidy Live. I remember listening to Please, please me. It was the only way for me to go to some David´s concert in the 70´s 🙁

And about David being played on some Spanish TV or Radio Station, I could say they forgot David from the end of the 70´s and they never talked about him untill unfortunatelly we lost him. Seems that the hard work David did during all his life was less important than that sad news 🙁 … Shame on them 🙁

Sorry to hear Bernard Slade passed away. I also read that article, Weronika. We are all getting older and are lossing many people from our youth. Very sad.

Well, it was nice to contact with you, my friends. Big hug to you all.

P.S.- I love and miss you so much, my sweet David ♥

  31. thoughts and prayers go out to the bernard slade family.i hope the retro tv channels here and abroad will run a tribute of wonderful shows he helped write produce like the flying nun, courtship of eddies father bridget loves birney and created the idea for the partridge family.how sad we lost dave madden, suzanne crough, hal blaine earlier this year and now bernard slade……but in 2 weeks reality again sadly reminds us of our beloved prince partridge david bruce cassidy.too many have gone from tv land and hollywoodland.lest we not forget them…play the musis watch the classic tv shows and play the great films of yestaryear…..they have left us with the best of growing up compared to the garbage put out these last 30 some years of piss poor tv sitcoms lousy no talent singers and song writers who all blend and sound the same.lets take too heart the radio stations who still love to play the 60s 70s even some 80s music…..

  32. With the Holiday’s approaching lets keep the entire cast of the Partridge Family that brought us joy and happiness all across household’s in America and the World and keep them in our prayer’s and thoughts during this Holiday Season. Respectfully, Jimmy Pearl from Bayonne, New Jersey

  41. I love your idea Richard, David Cassidy was one of the BIGGEST Star attractions maybe of all Lifetimes,to have world breaking records, when it came to fans attending his concerts. Sold Out Shows, that counts for something Big. And David Cassidy still maintained show power in years to come. With other talent he brought to us, from theatre to, the list is to long. David Cassidy never stopped his career. His talent was a full assortment that this one man gave to the world. Can’t wait for the new book, nice honor to David Cassidy. And nice his home that he lived in will have a memorial plaque. Be nice if David’s home in Florida, could turn into a remembrance home, and be turned into a museum, a place where David Cassidy is celebrated, and have a movie room, where fans could watch dedicated clips on David’s lifetime, have tours, of very special memorabilia, and also a room dedicated to his love for horses, and all he did for the racehorses. And have a cafe, where fans could get a bite to eat, and share all those special memories from David Cassidy to us.

    • IN 1971 JUST THAT ONE YEAR DAVID WAS THE MOST FAMOUS YOUNG MAN TO BE PICTURED PROFILED AND TALKED ABOUT ALL OVER .HIS FACE ALONE WAS ON THE COVER OF EVERY MAGAZINE NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY .HE WAS I BELIEVE ONE OF THE FIRST BESIDES THE JACKSON FIVE TO APPEAR ON LIFE MAGAZINE,TWICE ALONE ON TV GUIDE AND TWICE WITH THE PF CAST MANY OF THE WELL KNOWN TEEN MAGS HAD HIM ON EVERY COVER AND HIS LEGENADARY FAN CLUB IN 1971-72 ALONE HAD MORE MEMBERS THAN ELVIS OR THE BEATLES DID BEFORE HIM.THERE WERE SO MANY POSTERS AND PINUPS OF DAVID YOU COULD VE WALL PAPERED THE WHITEHOUSE AND STILL MORE DAVID……I KNOW I HAVE A HUGE AMOUNT OF POSTERS PINUPS AND ALOT OF HAVE STORED IN SCAPBOOKS AND BINDERS JUST SO MUCH …..HE LEFT A LASTING IMPRESSION IN THE MUSIC ,THEATER,RECORDING INDUSTRY TV RADIO STAGE AND THE BIGGEST POPSTAR TEEN IDOL OF ALL TIME…..

  42. MAYBE IF WE ALL AS FANS COULD SUGGEST TURNING HIS HOME OR JUST A BUILDING TURNED INTO A DC MUSEUM IN FT LAUDERDALE OR EVEN HIS HOMETOWN WOULD BE SO NICE……WE WOULD HAVE TO ALL SEND A SUGGESTION TO THE POWERS AT BE…..ID SAY PROBABLY THE THE HOUSE WITH THE PLAQUE ON WOULD BE THE BEST BET……

  43. On UK’s BBC Radio 2 – Johnny Walker (on his 70s rock show) has just played “I Think I Love You” – just like that!!!

  44. Hi, all you Bruce Cassidy lovers worldwide. DC is always on my mind, but coming up to the 21st November now, what can one say! Two years already, it doesn’t seem fathomable!
Special message for LYN SANDERSON in Queensland & MELISSA in Puerto Rico. Mel we want to hear that you & yours are alright since the hurricane/tornado of 2017. Also Lyn you haven’t posted since the beginning of this year, after that you had really bad floods in Queensland & we haven’t heard from you since! To top it all, we’ve heard about the bushfires in Queensland & New South Wales, (as if you didn’t have enough to contend with!). I have left messages for both of you during this past year, we are really worried about you.
SANDRA in Sydney, I was going to ask you if you know about the seriousness of the flooding situation in Queensland. But then lo & behold, we get the news about the bushfires affecting your area too! Posting here will be the last thing on your mind if you are all dealing with dangerous situations, but we just want to know that you are all alright.

The American twin sisters DENICE & FELICIA hi, Denice is Felicia alright?
JUDY A, are you alright? You had shingles last year, & couldn’t meet up with the ladies. How’s your recovery going?
DIANE in LA, again hearing about the bush fires in California. Really hope that you & yours are ok. I remember last year on DC’S birthday how you really wanted to be caught up in traffic longer so that you could listen to Timm’s broadcast longer!
There’s so much disruption going on worldwide concerning the weather due to us, via global warming or whatever. Here in Suffolk, UK luckily we escaped the heavy rains that have devastated Yorkshire & The Midlands, also I don’t live near a river & where I live is raised up a little. SIAN STEED, are you ok. I mistakenly thought you lived in Scotland, but have learnt that you live in an English village.
To everyone undergoing hardship wherever you are, our thoughts go out to you. But the ladies that I’ve mentioned if you can, get in touch to let us know that you’re all ok.
I really wanted to have a chat about our Darling DC, but with many of us undergoing trying times I’ll postpone it till another day when I’m reassured that you’re all ok.
Craig said that DC being so sensitive could not come to terms with living in an era he could not abide by. The stabbings going on in the city of my birth,. London, & other various parts of the UK. Waking up yesterday to the news of yet another shooting in Fresno. I’m glad that DC isn’t here to witness all the turmoil that’s going on in the world as I know it would depress him even more, (I’m depressed!).
Please everyone say a prayer for mankind, things weren’t so bad when we were kids were they?
David sweetheart, you are too good for this world, that’s why you were taken young. It’s just so heartbreaking for those of us left behind.
    Love You Always Adeola.

  45. Hi Adeola,

Thanks for your concern for several of us, David’s fans, who have experienced difficulties, whether from weather conditions or for other reasons. The bushfires here in NSW and near Sydney have been very bad, several people have died and over 500 homes lost, but I don’t live near the bush and have not been affected by the fires. The air is smoky though, not good air quality. Fires are still burning and the threat is not over here. I hope that everyone dealing with difficult circumstances is OK. I’m glad you escaped the heavy rains in your area.

In two days it’ll be two years since David passed, a very sad anniversary. I think of him all the time and especially at this time, and have pre-ordered the Cherish book which will be coming out in April, just in time for what would have been his 70th birthday. Wish I could come to his former home and see the plaque which will be unveiled there. So many memories of David. I join all David’s fans in thinking of him on the 21st and also think of his family and friends. He was too good for this world.

    Love Sandra
    Sydney,Australia

  46. Phew Sandra, one down thousands more to go. What a relief to hear from you!
But do you know about how bad the flooding situation was in Queensland earlier this year, & now they have to cope with fires again. LYN hasn’t posted for ages!
Are you wearing masks to protect yourself from the smoke, ( although I don’t think mouth masks will offer much protection).
It just seems to be one thing after another. Parts of Italy & the beautiful city of Venice badly flooded, (if there’s too much water in Venice, there must be something wrong with the world!). They’re worried about all the historical old buildings there. Violent protests in Spain, hi ARACELI. Senseless terrorism, murder, secular wars…… What on earth is going on! Why can’t everyone get along, sort out their differences over a good chat!
Peace on earth is what DC wished for, but look what we’ve got!
When the floods hit part of the UK, of course I was upset for the people. But did think about the wildlife etc. that would have got drowned. On the telly the other day they showed a little koala bear wrapped up in a blanket that they had rescued from the fires over your way, it was just so harrowing. You just forget about the wildlife, & how terrifying it must be for them too.
We always complain over here that it’s not hot enough, its too cold, it rains a lot etc. Compared to other places we’ve got it good.
Sandra, how are you bearing up about DC? At the end of April this year I found myself looking at his videos, interviews etc. on YouTube & ended up crying again. Have avoided watching them since, listening to his music & seeing stills of him is not so bad but seeing him visually moving it’s still so painful. Have you been able to watch ‘The Last Session’ yet. Sandra, look after yourself & yours, keep safe, if you can keep posting so that we know you are alright.
Lots of love Sandra from the UK. Adeola.

    • Thanks Adeola,

No I don’t need to wear a face mask, also Queensland has had bad fires, and remember when there were floods there earlier in the year. Hope everything is OK weatherwise where you are, it would be starting to get cold? I visited Geelong, Victoria last week to see my daughter – it was to be 37 degrees in Sydney the day I left, 14 degrees there and a howling cold wind! A different climate there. The floods in Venice look catastrophic and terrible recent fires in California.

I still feel very sad about David, when I watch video of him, see photos and listening to him sing and when I read the articles that are posted on this site about him. I haven’t been able to see “The Last Session” here, would like to see it even though I’ve heard it’s very sad. Did you see it? I wish he had been happier in his life, he dealt with an awful lot. There never will be another David Cassidy, he was unique.

      Love Sandra

  51. I believe its time that the two gentlemen that should be seriously consider to be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame because of there impact they made on music in the 70’s are David Cassidy and Barry Manilow. Respectfully, Jimmy Pearl from Bayonne, New Jersey

  52. Hi, There are some celebrity deaths that I felt sad about, but David’s death touches me to my vey soul, very, very close to how I felt when my parents passed. I know everyone here will understand. David was REAL, his music touched people’s heart, the way he sang songs with such emotion, and his voice, what can you say about his voice and his super handsome face? I LOVE HIM. I watched David Cassidy live, I am not sure what year it was, it was the UK concert, I loved it, he really had no idea just how terrific he was, especially when he said “I still don’t get this” WE DO!!!💙 I think David had not happy days than what people try to say about him, he just had to, he’s too beautiful to not have. I know it can be hard to deal with sadness, I fight with it but definitely not in the level he did and I certainly am not making a comparison. I just can’t stop thinking about him, I feel like there’s a reason for my feelings that how beyond his music and handsome face. I believe that she people pass on, they can feel you thinking of them and loving them, David, I LOVE YOU. 💕 Forever and ever in MY heart! GG 💙💚💙💚

  53. I concur with Allan a 50th Anniversary CD Boxed Set with all the songs they recorded with Bell Records would be a monster-making sell to all of his fans around the world that would want to celebrate his life and to hold on to all the great memories of his music that he gave to each and everyone of us to share through the years and then some. Respectfully Always from Jimmy Pearl of Bayonne, New Jersey.
